Ive got an exam thursday morning and im going, but i probably shouldnt be. Most students who are in the same situation would decide to flag the game in favour of the game this weekend in favour of doing well in their exam. Families with kids who go to school, neutrals who would normally sometimes come in the weekend not bothering because they have work early the next morning. I predict a goldcoast type crowd to be honest.

That's more like it!!

I would have second thoughts if my exam was the next day, but if the exam was 2 days or more away then no way I'd be missing the football.

It would be very disappointing if there was only 2500 there!!

I really don't think a midweek game is THAT big an inconvenience that our crowd is going to go down by that much!

Perhaps I will be proven wrong but I hope not.

Other than people who live quite far out of town, and perhaps people with really young kids, I can't see what the big deal is? Anyone who lives in or near Wellington will be home in bed long before midnight.

Shall we move the YFZ too? Lets move the whole crowd to other side. Its their fault for not showing up.

I'm real good at marketing.

From the 4-4-2 article posted on the YF home page:

"We're doing a lot of things on and off the pitch right. Our crowds are up 12% and we're signing players. Terry's sat down with the squad and said he's here for the long haul."

That checks out with Oceanic6s stats (12.9% actually)

Wonder what crowds are like over the deetch in comparison with last season?

Down and much angst about it.  From memory only Perth, Adelaide and us are held up as on the right track.

Well that should count in our favour to stay in the A-League (he said naively...)

I'm guessing 4-5k tonight max. Weather not great, mid-week, loss on Sunday. I'll be there though :-) Might even make it for a pint before hand at the BB.

Its no longer a problem.

Yeah 5k would be a good turnout imo.

If you drink enough, and stand on the other side of the RoF it will look like 10,000...  10,000 blurry people.

See you all at the BB/Game.  Hoping for 5k+ too...

hoping for minimum 5k tonight; we should all be used to this, rain and wind is more familiar than sun down here

also, to whoever the guy was who wore a Chelsea shirt into the zone last time against Judas United...great to have you along, but go out and shout yourself a retro ricki mate, just cause it's football doesn't mean wear any football shirt (this is not getting into one of those debates about whether Chelsea are scum, etc)

the rain looks like it is starting to roll in form the North...

Pretty poor looking crowd.

To go with the mid-week game they should have offered discounted or free tickets to those with AWs tickets.

4.1K tonight, that's pretty poor, even for a midweek game.

A little disappointing, but as mentioned in here, many factors contributed to it. Still, they went home having witnessed a 3-0 win.

A lot of people at work weren't sure there even was a game tonight, let alone a home game - so it might have slipped quite a few people by to be honest.  Number of factors to the lower crowd than normal, but still a decent turnout and a good win should bolster Sunday's crowd vs Perth leading up to the massive AWs game.

You're meant to say it's a poor spell of weather

Sounded louder than some Sundays can, & just happy we haven't sunk to GCU depths. 4.1k mid week with upcoming game on Sunday, average weather and against bottom of the table team - not great, but was worried it could be worse at the time.

Not suprising - 4.1k 8pm on a Wednesday when we lost the last game and the weather is sh*t isn't bad at all.

Interesting atmosphere tonight. I went with a workmate and sat in Aisle 26 - very sparsely populated area.

Good to hear the smallish FZ on song but hard to get anything going where there isn't mass. On Sunday it will be back to Aisle 23 with the whole famdamlee.

Well done to you mental FZ YFers who displayed your man b##bs tonight @ 80 mins... ("You are the fever, the yellow fever and you are mental and you are mad. you are the most loyal football supporters, the world has ever had")

The families were missing from this one, 8pm is too late during the week to get many families along to watch the games.

Still, the Fever Zone was in good voice tonight, we made up for the lack of numbers with volume :)

I got my tits out and was proud to do so.  Was freezing but an awesome game.  I'm going to be honest, it looked far less than 4 100 at the stadium as well.

It's surprising how much warmer it is in the zone with everyone piled in than outside the zone.

A lad who is a regular in the zone (and a Nighthawk - go the mighty Nighthawks) was in a function with Reebok and he came down and joined us in the last ten.  Turned up shivering, got his shirt off and said it was much warmer than when he'd been getting to the zone.
