no just after that there was pandemonium in the commentary box, it sounded like a goal but I think Smeltzy had just put it wide. Agree with Miller deserving a yellow card, which would have been his second I think?

Perhaps we play better when panicing? Think Leo needs a start ahead of Kwas next week, from radio evidence at least. Tempted to say Daniel instead of Covs as well.

Leo was good (better than Kwasnik anyway) but it was odd that he played so deep for most of the half. Gao really took it to them in the 2nd half. Half time rocket perhaps?

We paid the price for doing bugger all in the first half. Played well for the last 4 mins of extra time. A lot of technically poor football from us. They never looked like breaking a sweat and came home with a result.

Covney - "old warhorse", "old campaigner" etc but does bugger all. If he was 22 he would be slated for the way he plays, a "striker" ffs. Gao non-existent for the first half. Kwas-bad.

The rest ok. Our defense is good. I like mckain in midfield a couple of nice balls played through, but their midfield way was ahead of ours.

Bertos looks pretty good, rusty is all and a bad miss. Daniel's corners were far better than Gao's.

Alot of the time we look like we lack the skill of other teams.

To many loose passes in the first half....and too mych waltzing around in the box when it finally got better in second half.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

Well just got home from the game, someone needs to put me in a padded room with no sharp implements. We should have won that 3 or 4 times over, enough chances. I though Covs was quite good tonight, Smeltzy good as always, Holy Trinity looked good when together. Gao was nowhere in the first half. Back 4 was good. Hard to pinpoint where we lost that for me, poor finishing i guess

daniel gave the ball away with stupid little flick passes a nu,ber of times. gao would have been alright if he could stay on his feet for 5 minutes. and bertos' one on one, nooo!

Firstly, how frustrating was that?? We probably created more today than in the previous 3 games, but just do not know what to do in front of goal!

There is a severe lack of imagination in the final 3rd.

Coveny - runs hard all day, but his final ball is lacking. Gets into good positions, but does nothing when he gets it

Gao - truly had a nightmare today, MUST be dropped for the next game IMO. All he seems capable of is running in a straight line. Loses possession 9 times out of 10 and is too easily brushed off the ball. Another one who gets into the final third and seems to have no idea what to do next!

Bertos' miss was nothing short of ridiculous. We just CANNOT miss chances like that and expect to win games. Otherwise he was good and I would have him starting ahead of Gao every day of the week.

I would also bring in Daniel for Gao in the next game.

As for their goal, the defender should have had it on the line.

Overall we deserved AT LEAST a point, but this lack of imagination in that final third really is costing us big style.

Good point. From about the 65th minute until the 85th we were really bad. Everything was really flat and the players didn't even look bothered! If we could play how we did in the last 5 minutes from the start of the game we might be doing a whole lot better!!

really good summarry-thought Gao looked very poor- tried to run thru players and was made o look a fool- Qld were clinical esp. at set pieces

good summary though Steve-0, frustrating is the overwhelming feeling...

Funny - listening to the radio Gao seemed to be the standout for the Nix. Maybe the commentry team need to brush up

I thought Gao was quality in the second half, frustrating but quality. Ran at people, like Felipe used to. Could have quite easily got a penalty on the edge of the box, would like to see a replay to see how close he was to the box when he was bought down. Also thought he stayed on his feet much more
