Yellow Fever Zone and tickets..

There are two stands, North and South, the south is the corporate side.

The North is smaller but steeper and in my opinion has the better views, closer to the ground and will have the better atmosphere.

Not sure if the Stadium will have seating behind the goals (might not be ready) for the game.

Place will go off, talk at the club was organising our masters team for the year end get together to be at the game.

Problem for me is the whole whanau is coming to stay so they can go to the game, brother and his family from Central, Parents from Christchurch. Ah well family first..

We are working with Andy at Otago Cricket on making their Longroom the Fever venue for the game.  It's right across the road from the ground, and we're going to sort out cheap booze and free transport back to town after the game, to save you the fifteen minute stumble.

Boom.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I'm coming back to hometown Dunedin for the weekend and plan to rustle up family, friends and any associated football teams they have. We should try and get a plan together for seating, pre and post match - (especially pre). Do we know if the management at the stadium will be flexible about seating, so if we are all scattered about we can syill move to create a 'zone'. Is anyone able to find a cotnact at teh stadium we cna talk to to help make sure everything is cool.

Also, maybe some 'Dunedin' versions of some chants?

OH Du-ne-din - OH DU-NE-DIN
is won-der-dul - IS WON-DER-FUL etc....

We've got more wind, more rain and the Stadium...(whatever etc)

Thought you might like to see this from the Commercial Director at the Stadium. I asked him about them having a designated 'Fever zone' etc

"Great to hear from you and especially that you will be down in Dunners for the game. It is our intention to have a Fever Zone and allow people to purchase such a ticket over the internet as well as on the day. We fully understand that the fans will stand and chant and sing and we would encourage fans to do this. Atmosphere is after all why we go to live events. I do look forward to seeing a large number of fans down here and enjoying the event with you. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance."

That's cool they have group bookings, good for teams that will go along.
Wish I was going, bet it will be fun and hope they get a good crowd.  (more than 10k would be fab)

Fever zone is in West stand = behind goal. Is this good or bad? Please discuss.

Depends on numbers, the permant Nth & Sth stand hold about 16,000 from memory, if there aren't going to be much more than 10k they would be better off not using the temporary stands and dedicating part of the North stand for the Fever Zone .

Hopefully there will be15K plus so it will make for a great atmosphere and having the Fever zone at one end packed out making a racket would be superb.

The above reply would be treated like an April fool's joke by most Australian based supporter's if they received that as an email from their home stadium administrators.

North and South stands hold 19,000 according to a stadium brochure.

I would think it unlikely they will erect the East/West stands for this fixture. In fact I get the feeling they make a decision based on how many they expect to turn up and don't change this decision (whether or not to bring out the East and/or West stands).

Pretty much the same as the regular season games held in Chch over the last couple of years. Adults were $20 though, but at the end of the day it's bloody good value to see your heroes live and makes the Phoenix much needed money.

The East and West stands are up from now until the end of RWC. The fever zone is the west stand.

Thanks for that. I was going on info from stadium open day where it was said E/W would only go up when needed. Makes sense with RWC coming to have it out and keep them out for now.

Fever zone directly behind goal then I guess.

No probs.

From understanding they want as many full operation ie all stands, events as possible b4 rwc. Certainly putting the zone in the west stand is the only likely time we're they'll get a full-ish west stand b4 the cup, ie a crucial trial run.
