Yeah I hate that this has been awarded a pen, very harsh. But that is how the the a league / VAR has decided the rule should be interpreted - at least they are consistent - especially given its us.

Yep, their goalie pulled off some great saves in the end - hard to say which goalie played better - both kept their teams in it for sure. I'd imagine the possession and shots stats evened up a fair bit in the second half...

That kinda felt like to opposite to how the early games of the season went.

Those ones we felt like we deserved points and didn't get them, here it feels like we were lucky to have more than 1.

Still a wins a win and now it's 3 in a row baby.  Hopefully we bring the energy earlier next week. 

Mccowatt was very lively tonight and Sotirio good too. Stefan had some cracking saves. WS pretty unlucky not get something out of the game TBF.

Some sympathy for WSW but we've all seen Sydney winning close games for years off the back of dodgy penalties and they get lauded to the high heavens for "knowing how to win". Well we've now won three in a row and the boys are getting a taste for it. 

If we can fix the issues at the back then there is no reason why the wins can't keep on coming. Thought we were pretty damned good 2nd half.

Seems crazy to think that all of our results (bar the draw) have had one goal in it. GD of -1 now

great win, marinovic another great performance he deserves a clean sheet for christmas, good to see sotirio get his first goal for the club  

I want to make babies with Davila and create generations of future nix penalty takers. 

I reckon their goalie kept them in it second half actually - we ended up with a lot of good shots that were headed straight in but excellent reflex safes kept them out. Marinovic was pretty damn awesome too but I think we had the stronger chances in the second half really. Ball was a bit unlucky - but fluffed some (ditto Piscopio). I wouldn't mind a bit of a buffer in some of these games - thats 2 games in a row where Davila stepped up to the penalty spot and that ended up the difference. Pretty tense stuff for sure but its nice to start being on the winning side of those - the team has real hang-in-there character!
