Did he say this? If so, at least that sounds promising, I've always lamented the lack of pace in our strikers and felt we had too many wide players. Will need a goalkeeper as well of course.

Yes, actually doing it is different from saying it, but it is better to say the right things than not. Merrick has always come across well in interviews and he sounds pretty good. My biggest concern is his track record on player development which is vital for us, I'm not convinced by him at all in this regard. But he has the role and after the press conference I feel better than I did before.
Oh, and I couldn't care less what the fans of other clubs think. Wtf is that even mentioned???

The hell are you on about? Coaches, assistant coaches, players, technical and board staff.. all move around different clubs every season. Same shit happens in the EPL. Victory are a joke anyway, how many coaches had they gone through? Doesnt meen shit to be fired by those donkeys.
