Really sucks we weren't able to keep Kraev since he stayed in the league and not going to Europe like Zawada. This would've been his 4th season with us and only needing another year to get NZ citizenship? + has a kiwi partner and kid.

The only possible answer to this is don't be sad, smash 'em.

Not so much wernt able to keep them as they didnt want to be here only a subtle difference but despite what some seem to think you cant force them to stay. But do agree it does suck.
Marco Rojas announced his retirement from the game on Facebook the other day.
Surprised that it hasn't really been picked up by media or otherwise. But it's probably the way he wanted it. Great player, but in fairness it was probably time - The heart wants what the heart wants.
Regardless on how his exit happened the first time around, he's still a pretty special player in the club's history. He's one of those where if you only look at the stats you probably wouldn't think much - but in 18 odd seasons I can't recall any other kid breaking into the first team with the ability to create bonafide magic. Sarpreet, Oldie and Libby had that, but not on the level of Rojas. Cheers Marco!
Dylan Macallister's son Mathias (18) has come off the bench for Sydney against WU in the Australia Cup, scored his first professional goal and the winner in just his third appearance for the first team, if you count the Wrexham game. A proud moment for Dylan.
Mathias has been scoring for fun for Sydney's NPL team, got five goals in one game, and as mentioned by RR on a previous page, has signed a scholarship deal with Sydney.
In the case of Rojas, take a bow the Yellow Fever for being instrumental in his arrival at the Nix. Where did all those years go Marco?? One minute 16, next 32. Thanks heaps for the entertainment (Except scoring against us) and being a good sort to chat with.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Guy Smith and David Cross in particular, if I'm not mistaken
Former Oxford United manager Des Buckingham is set to be named head coach of Saudi Pro-League club Al-Khulood. Deal agreed and set to go through following takeover of the club by American Ben Harburg. Al-Khulood now also the first 100% foreign-owned SPL club.
I see Alex Paulsen has not gone out anywhere on loan from Bournemouth yet (that I have found that is). Plus he has been assigned squad number 13. That didn't happen this time last year before he went to Auckland.
#13 is the most common number for the 2nd choice keeper - so maybe they plan on having him on the bench?
Current keepers in the squad are; Đorđe Petrović, aged 25, 23 EPL appearances with Chelsea, 31 Ligue 1 with Strasburg and 7 Serbian caps Alex Paulsen Will Dennis - 25, been with Bournemouth since 2016 with one FA cup appearance. lots of loans to National league or lower clubs. Last season was at Kilmarnock in the Scottish Championship where he had 36 appareances. Callan McKenna, 18, Signed from Queens Park in the Scottish Championship where he had 7 appearances last season. Has a handfull of scottish age group caps.
From that list Petrovic's a pretty clear first choice, and I'd say Paulsen is ahead of Dennis for the bench spot.
Dennis was the one who got mins in pre season though. But does look increasingly like AP will stay around the EPL squad until at least the January window.

We might get a gauge of who is where on 26 August. Bournemouth are drawn at home to Brentford in the League Cup. Competition where clubs commonly run their back ups from the start of the 90 minutes, even when playing another Prem club. Especially in the early rounds.
Mandi Soda's Lincoln Red Imps (Gibraltar) upset Noah (Armenia) and advance on penalties to the Europa League play off which is already a historic result. Be great if they could make it

Hadn’t realised he was there. They’ve had a history of a few good results, I remember about 10 years ago they papped Celtic out in the qualies I think it was?

They beat Celtic 1-0 in Gibraltar but lost the return leg 3-0 in the Champions League 2nd qualifying round, so didn't actually knock Celtic out. Celtic went on to win the Scottish treble unbeaten that season!
Why would they loan him to another Ligue 2 side - less than 90 mins this season for a goal and assist. Plenty of goals in preseason as well etc. Makes no sense.
