so I think we all can see what your point of view is going to be this season.

Good save but chances were that he should have put it away under little pressure?

You can just make my comments from now on, if you like...

It’s preseason, I’m not saying we are shark... but hey, they just scored through the same, you do you...

exactly, its preseason we have our captain not playing along with our visa players who are likely to be starting. Any kind of result from this game will be amazing especially given the strikers have had a full season under their belts and the nix have maybe two games.

Good shot, good save

About what I expected - Payne and Rufer not providing a whole lot (only need one of them), no creativity without Davila, Ball trying to do everything. TAHW looks OK, needs to communicate with Devlin and track runners.

The Strikers keeper has done a couple very good saves.

I agree with you, not sure who you are arguing with?

That one where Ball spun and shot was a very good save

This pitch is going to turn into a mud bowl now it's raining. Lets hope no injuries.

McCowatt is finding himself far too deep - there's no progressive play from our midfield. Payne, Rufer, Devlin non existant

not badly, just lacking with a final pass. Couple of good shots which have been stopped by better saves. Goal was well taken, drifted in from the left hand side, left TAHW in his tracks and beat a Rufer I think to make the shot.

Omori seems like quite a good player

Mori looks good for them.

We generally lack penetration through the middle, some moments of nice interplay, normally when Ball or Waine drop deeper.

we need some direction from the centre of the park,Payne and Rufer not really making the play.

This team, more than any other we've had in a while, really needs more competitive games - you can tell by the way they're all shouting at each other and looking slightly lost. I see some promise in the way we've played, though; Ball looks like a real fighter if we get some quality around him I could see him doing well.

We're quite clearly missing a midfielder to pass progressively from deep (Rufer and Payne are not that)

I like the look of TAHW so far. Devlin has worked hard but unsure about what he does on the ball and if he fits into this structure. He reminds me a lot of how Nichols played v Bentleigh last year.

In this structure I also feel like Libby's influence is limited. I'd almost rather see him in the middle.

so a mess and down a goal?

Odds of pulling something back?

Ball looking really good, can see him working really well as a second striker

Payne tried there; much better - progressive forward pass through the lines. Just no run to match.

There is good potential to still win, depending on their fitness.

Definitely.

Last year we dropped a lot of early points with the team not quite gelling the way they did as the season progressed where the passing got significantly better.

This definitely feels like early last year again.  Hopefully we scrape through so we get at least one more competitive game.

I'm pleasantly surprised, we look way further ahead than this time last year. Loads of guys making their debuts, got to be realistic. We've kept it tight, they got an odd goal.

Normo's coming home
