Nothing says he has to be positive about everything (or in this case anything), and whether or not he donates doesn't actually have anything to do with his view on ticket prices. I'm also sure he doesn't care if we see his forum personality as being miserable.

You are absolutely correct but there is also no harm done in pointing out that the point of view being held is completely unreasonable which is usually where Steve-O lives in the spectrum. I just did it in a more forceful/frustrated manner.

It's not what you said, it's just the wayu you said it.

nufc_nz agreed with me.

I take it back. I was obviously wrong.

Any word if Newcastle Bitter are going to sponsor the games here on Saturday? Not a rumour or a fact, just a damn good idea! Although in the current temperature department a Drambui hidden inside the beer (Known as a depth charge) might be in order to warm one up.

That's a good idea, put out a call for a sponsor in direct competition with the existing one [ambush marketing anyone?]

Bought tickets for four of us in there, aisle 22. Obviously we'll be standing, but do people still stand where their allocated seats are? Or do you just stand in any part of the zone?

I'd imagine for this it would have to be allocated seats just because of the amount of new people involved.

Sweet.

Just wanting to make sure we won't get the old "dont you know you just stand where you want round here" if we turn up and one of you knuckleheads is standing at our seats...

Usually its sort of a case where people sit where they want, but if someone says "hey thats my seat can you move?' then you move.

Jeff - I hardly think commenting that in my opinion (and I'm far from alone) the top prices are a bit high is "completely unreasonable"?!

You may disagree and think they're not too high and that's fine, I don't think that's "completely unreasonable" at all.

Perhaps trying to bully someone into donating to charity to prove some point fits "completely unreasonable" better though.

Even if you hired a camper and did the length of the country to see all 3 of the 4 games it would STILL be cheaper. And you are whinging about $115 for two football games?

You are now violating rule 7 and quite frankly also rule 9 of the Yellow Fever Forum 'rules and regulations'. C'mon, mate. Lets not make it 3 by breaking rule 5. I would suggest reading rules 1 through to 9 just to refresh your memory. I don't want to get you banned but breaking so many rules we can't really complain. Obviously I am in the circle of trust with the mods but my influence only gets me so far. Godspeed.

I refute that I'm tight either, despite my roots! I've spent bloody thousands upon thousands on tickets for football, concerts, other sports, all sorts of events over the years. Doesn't mean I can't have a moan about the price or that I don't still end up buying a ticket.

Top twins would be worth about 0.50c of that $115. That IS too far too much to pay :o)

On the Topp Twins, I have to agree. Having them is pathetic and embarrassing. Show casing New Zealand culture to the big wide world could be done at an All Black test instead. I would rather sit in silence that listen to their friggen yoddelling. It makes appear like an episide of Greenacres or Petty Coat Junction and cringeworthy. If the club had to get an act in, why not someone half decent? This makes Jimmy Barnes seem good.

Bruce Willis said in "The Last Biy Scout" something like..."You wanna hear me scream in pain, play some rap". You wanna hear LG scfeam in pain, play some Topp Twins yoddelling. And no, this is not an invite to do so.

I think if you book it on skygo or online, it remotely books it in to your box?

So where does (the extended) YF Zone end? My tickets appear to be quite close to the YF boundary (borderline aisle 23/24). How will it work if YF are standing and people in the seat next door aren’t – its not normally an issue I expect as there is normally plenty of room for everyone. I’ve got old buggers coming with me, they aint gonna want to be standing for 3 hours plus.

I have booked PPV by text message before.

And just to go against the grain of my last 100 posts, I might just bite the bullet and buy the PPV as I'd rather not watch it on a rubbishy stream.

Still too high but having a YOLO moment!

Has anyone bought the tour pass? Seems the way you get that online is to put in your name, account number and an email address...bit unsure that I will get it confirmed before KO??

Doing it anyway...

That's what we've done, and today when we went to the channel it said that our booking is confirmed and the game tonight is available to watch.

Also, on the phone line thing, our Sky box isn't plugged into the phone line and it has seen that we have "purchased" the game online, so all should be okay. Think you just need the phone line if you are booking using the remote on the Sky box, but if you do it like that you'll have to buy the games individually, only way to get the pack is online.

Yup cheers. See that now. Was all set to use the text to book (my decoder has no phone line either) but then realised you could only do it for individual games.

Any idea how long the booking took from entering those details to the channel coming on your TV? Mines isn't there as being booked yet but it's only been a few mins so will give it an hour or so before I start to panic.

I reckon they'd work hard an hour or so before the game to push such bookings through. You should be alright.
