Fortean - yes I didn't sign my Sky contract expecting this game, but nothing new would ever be on Sky if that was the case? When I signed up they still had EPL...hardly asking much that these games would be available since they reduced their live football coverage by 70+ matches a season!

As for boxing I tend to agree. The pricing is all over the place IMO. $40 for Joseph Parker, but free for the recent world title fight between Froch v Groves that sold out Wembley stadium?! I would've paid maybe $25 for the Froch fight, but no way I'm paying $40 to watch Parker. Maybe if he gets to world title level I would.

My point about precedent is this is the first time football has been PPV and it's a slippery slope, potentially.

It could also lead to more things being PPV, and not hidden behind an additional sky paywall (like it is now, which does suck). This would mean you only pay for the content that you actually want to watch. 

I guess as Internet gets faster and faster this is more likely, and depending on pricing, I wouldn't have an issue with it.

Sky Arena is not even available on Vodafone TV for some inexplicable reason.

yeah I sent them a message asking if they were considering opening up their PPV to non subscribers at least online via skygo in future, they never got back to me. 

Sky have such a caring way of which they handle their customers. Almost like they are wanting people to abandon their service. You have to wonder sometimes what their objective is. It doesn't appear to be keeping the customer satisfied.  

Why would they need to? Where would you go?

if the past is anything to go by there will be a weeks worth of activities and player promotions in Auckland, and not a lot in Wellington. #cynical

Im pretty sure that there is some mandatory fifa stand down of 3 or 4 weeks from exiting the world cup to reporting to club duty. If this is the case , that would rule out Krul and Debuchy (who is rumored to be unveiled as an Arsenal player in the next 24 hours anyway). Siem de Jong who has been the Ajax skipper and has 10 odd caps for Holland has signed for Newcastle in the last week so should be in the squad though.

No relation to Nigel, but his brother is Luuk who had an unsuccessful loan period at Newcastle last season. Hoping like hell that HBA doesnt get sold in the next few weeks as looking forward to seeing him in action against the Nix..
