So you disagree with the fact Perennial strugglers Liverpool have been well below par this season?

Three for me, and two for them.

No I don't disagree. But calling them f**king hopeless is just emotive crap and really just a bit childish.

Especially when you are confusing someone who has asked a valid question and just wants to learn a bit more about the great game of football.

So why don't we try to keep this thread on subject?

f**king hopeless = the relative playing ability of any football team that is not your own, if you're a very one-eyed supporter

I know a few unlucky supporters who use this term to describe their own teams playing ability.

I hear that

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I'm singing it to the tune of "Ba Ba Black Sheep", and it seems to work.

I think there's more than one sheep song, though the lyrics are pretty much the same. At Brighton, whenever playing Welsh opposition* we'd sing "sheep shaggers la la la" (repeat ad infinitum) and the tune was like the chorus of the Banana Splits song.

*And if playing a team from near the Welsh border, such as Hereford, we'd sing "you're Welsh and you know you are" before the sheep song.

There's an awful you tube clip of Neil Ruddock doing another version of the song. I don't know why - he's a strange man.

To the tune of "One man went to mow":

"One man went to bed, went to bed with Shane Warne.
One man and his sheep; hey!
Went to bed with Shane Warne.
Two men....."

Works with any Aussie really.

- do all clubs have fan forums?

- when does the next season start?

- why isn't everyone happier we came third and beat 7 other teams?

Always with the questions!! Aye aye aye...
Are you really a reporter for TV3 news?

1 - Do you mean A-League clubs ?  If so yes.  Pretty much any professional club has forums.  They're not all as good as this place.

2 - August.

3 - We will be once we get over last weekend.

This is the best football forum in the league and I'm being really honest in saying that no bias intended at all.

Maybe not a TV3 reporter, but good point re the questions.

Are you really the red haired k1, roller hockey goth woman you say you are?  Are you an honest kiwi?

I think you need to let one of the Mods give you a call so they can determine if you are who you are.  Only then can we truly accept you into the YF knitting circle.

But I can't knit. For some odd reason I'm the only right handed person in my family and my mum, nana and aunt all tried to teach me growing up but it was too complicated since I cdn't do it the way they did

But I'm quite happy to meet the next time YF are gathering at a drinking hole... as long as it not before noon in the weekends since vampires need their sleep

Knitting circle = group of people 'sitting around' whinging about something. It generally is referred to the Auckland City knitting circle after a sudden onslaught from bluemagic about how the Nix are supposedly ruining football for everyone else in NZ. Plonker.
