Just so you know, croud is done on purpose in that the board will automatically change CROWD to croud. We aren't all bad spellers...

Yeh, but what about 'attedance' ??

Walk away with your head high wearing a Stephen Fry smoking jacket (or something like that).

Yeah, what's the point of an in joke if you explain the punchline?

Can someone please explain that to Jeremy Corbett, he's about as funny as a fart in an elevator.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Got to disagree there.  I don't think he is funny.

Huge dilemma

Friday is a Black out the Heart/Adelaide game but:

  • Last time I wore stripey we lost to FFA FC (will be the closest I get to wearing black)
  • Last time I wore sexy white away (2012-14 season) we beat Roar
  • Am expecting the Shorty St Tees to arrive in the next day or two

What to wear?

What about it? It's a perfectly cromulent word.

Now, can we get back to talking about how we can embiggen our crouds?

Re: one croud not making a difference. That may be true, but let's not forget there's been a lot of apathy around the Nix recently. If this draws a big turnout on Friday (15k) and we play well (...), that may convince more people it's the place to be and raise the average croud figure closer to 10k than 6k. Our big problem has been all the games in the past where we've pushed for a big croud we've had a shocker and it's burst the balloon. That Heart charity strip game being the perfect example. But if its a good game on Friday, I can see that feel good factor flowing on to subsequent games.

I'm really fudgeed off about the weather. It'll probably knock a couple of thousand off what we could have got if it had been warm and sunny.

Not sure I follow you - are you saying that you don't think cold wind and rain will keep people away?

It probably will do. I just hope it doesn't and if fines up for tomorrow's game. Just trying to be positive.

Friday night 7:15pm. Rain cold. Croud 5,000. All the elements are there for this, including the comment about having to get a 15k croud. But I will still drive down from the Bay to support the club.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Fair enough. It is meant to clear up a bit and the wind is meant to ease by tomorrow evening at least, but I think casual punters will be less willing to come along and give it a go than if we'd had some warm sun this week building up to it.

Buying and attending are two different things.  And an empty looking stadium just gives that football squatter Gallop a few cheap shots.

All.  Chance TVNZ might join us in the zone Friday night just to get peoples feelings on the Phoenix and what is happening.  The lad doing it (Shaun or Sean) is a Phoenix fan from way back so if we can help him out it spreads the Phoenix and Fever name.

I have reminded him about the risk of intoxication.

Its Sean Hogan, he is the guy I am working with doing a Fever Dreams story which is one of the reasons why they will be at the game on Friday too.

No one from Hawkes Bay want a ride? You have till 10pm tonight to pm me. Otherwise I will go when I feel like it. Very surprised and sadly disappointed. Only rules were no drinking or smoking in my car.
