Where did you find that?

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I had assumed that since it (apparently) is going to be either a sell out or close to it, that the public would be able to buy tickets in the away bay (like you can at other A League grounds).

So despite there maybe only a handfull of away fans I was assuming the away bay was likely to be quite full or full.

So my point stands...?

Probably cant afford to have empty seats so I suspect it will be a mix...not that anything untoward happens in the mix.

Im still pre game "angsty" about the seating height.  Will hopefully be all right on the night...

The away fan zone is just a formality really. Anyone can buy tickets for any area, and when we played the finals those times with 30,000 + crowds Nix fans sat in the away zone so ...

Can I just be clear that I'm not being PC, nor am I offended by the t-shirt. I just don't find it funny! Not calling for it to be banned or any such thing, just stating an opinion. The end.

there's only 25 seats on public sale in the Away Bay, so it's not  big deal. The Newy  lads are going to come in the Fever Zone anyway.

(sigh)

My point was NOT re away fans and Phoenix fans in the same bay.

My point was whether or not you would be able to see the whole pitch from the back of the "Away" bay (regardless of which team you were supporting.

Boro4eva mentioned that were only likely to be 10 away fans, and only because fo that I mentioned Nix fans in the away bay.... to point out that even if there were only 10 away fans the bay might still be full - because if it is close to seel out surely that bay will be close to full...

So any "big deal" that I was talking about was about whether there would be poeple who bought tiuckts there and were disappointed by their viw being partially obstructed by the Grandstand. (Which is quite tall, and the rest of the temporary seating bays ar not, and the sides fo the grandstand being partially solid)

So, if anyon wants to discuss what I was actually talking about... go right ahead.

It's a throw away reply to things that people don't agree with.  Like "land rights for gay whales" which I find humorous but don't totally agree with because I think whales have done f*ck all to deserve land rights when all they do is use up tax payers money for officials to attend international meetings on whaling and allow pirates to run around in the antarctic and whine when they get thrown in jail in Japan.

oh.... how will that go down then (opposition fans in the zone) does that mean they shouldn't wear their Jets shirts, wave their Jets scarfs or drape their Jets bedspreads over the railings?

I think the Nix fans in the away zone will have to wear non yellow/black/white colours as well.

I picked up a copy of the Hutt News and looky here, an exhibition game is on tomorrow for JR Reid.  Where abouts on the ground is this supposed to be and will they be using the temporary seating?

And station village selling YF shirts

I had to drive out to the Hutt Valley today and must say there is little to no advertising of the game.  I hope this really steps up, though the team aren't helping the cause by losing their last 2 games.

seen heaps in papers, buses and a fair few (small) billboards.

Probably not much of a marketing/advertising budget for games with a maximum capacity of 9000, at least a third of which are taken by season members.

Went with a slightly toned down version of the tee. Steve-O probably right that v1 was more crass than funny. Hopefully this one just looks good with a vague giggle in the image.

Nah it was funny, one thing New Zealanders have lost, is the ability to laugh at themselves. Ok to laugh at others though.

Could we rename the Fever Zone, the Trevor Mallard Stand for a piss take?

Assuming they are staying in the Central City

Go down to the railway station.  Get on a train to Upper Hutt.  They go every half hour.  Get off at Woburn station.  Then about a 5-10 minute walk to the ground either with a map or follow the crowd.  Dare say there will be a few on every train going to the match on the day.  Ride will take about 15-20 minutes.  Cost for adults $5.50

Except that, as previously noted (see the post by Warrick Hunt quoting the "Buses replacing trains timetable screenshot" near the bottom of page 23 of this thread), currently the Tranz Metro website says that ALL Hutt Valley trains are cancelled on Feb 14th, and are being replaced by buses, frequency etc. TBA.

Apologies.  Missed that

There will be Fever buses from Four Kings to the Bellvue. Dale and I meeting Matty tomorrow to finalise plans. That will be your A-game.

Any more news on the buses from Four Kings?

The trains also aren't cancelled like the TranzMetro website says. You can count on being able to catch a train out to Waterloo Station for the match.
