This week is going to be late.  The Tornadoes have just finished up in Vegas and are heading home so we won't record until Thursday (probably).

Just record someone saying 'Honking', and set it on loop for 60 minutes?

New Zealand's number one unsophisticated and pathetic football podcast is back and just in time to kill the last minutes of your working week.

In The Zone V43 is live at www.yellowfever.podomatic.com & Itunes at bit.ly/YFZone

As the Wellington Phoenix FC slump to new lows, the pod refuses to discuss the game that never was and instead brings the angst on Gareth Morgan's latest rant. Elsewhere, Ryan Nelsen heads to Toronto and take a young Kiwi with him, Dan Keat is released, and there are goals galore in the ASB Premiership.

Listening to Smithy and EG talking about Brockie and Huseygems, it's clear that one of you knows nothing about football.

And while I can accept being pathetic and unsophisticated (hard to argue with this really) I do take exception to being called a RETARD.

I've only ever visited Melbourne once.

This week on In The Zone, Lochhead sees red as the Wellington Phoenix FC break a 4 match losing streak, Hogg is set to debut against Perth in his hometown, Kosmina walks out on Adelaide United FC, and look out for our competition to win tickets to the Backbencher reopening.  Elsewhere, Ryan Nelsen plays his last professional game, Chris Wood scores in the FA Cup, Exodus Team Wellington keeps their playoff hopes alive, while their youth side eases past Nelson Falcons.

Kalac got his ban after being sent from the field against the Jets, last weekend.

Re the Youth League, there's a second round robin still to be played before the finals. So pretty vital win for us today.

Haha came on here to say this too. It's just at the halfway stage of the league!

Fudge.

Was that how you explained they lost 1-0 but then had 9 points because they had won three from three.. good chance the winner of Nelson vs Canterbury could catch TW, they'd just have to beat them in a couple of weeks.

Simple really. When Otago win the next 4 in a row, they'll be top qualifier. Done.

Epic fail from us, but in particular News who was feeding us the league progress from his iPad.

Important points for Otago...

Has anyone watched the U17s play? I hear they're a bit shambolic but just have the best players in the country so are winning more by accident than design?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Next week's podcast won't write off the loss to the Mariners as a blip not to be discussed, like they did with the thrashing by Sydney, correct?

There's a worrying trend in our away form which deserves analysis.

A worrying trend? Of all the NZ based teams that have played NSL/HAL, its always been the case.

Its a little bit more than a trend. The netballers can't crack it. The Warriors have had mixed success, the Breakers looked to have cracked it, Super 10/12/14/15/whatever.

In the cases above, those that are successful/have been successful on the road in Australia have had a distinct advantage over the ones that have not and its quite simple really:

The NZ teams had better players than the Australian teams. End of.

Think about the Warriors 2 finals appearances, the 1 win in 4 seasons of the netball comp, the Breakers. When they have won in Australia, that have invariably won the comp or gone close. Thats because they had better players than the Australian teams.

Grumpy old bastard alert

Trying to incorporate the word honking into the ASB Premiership live updates, should be pretty easy with Waikato and Manawatu playing

46 a little delayed.  Needs more editing from our producer as it was recorded in difficult circumstances.

Could be a cracker once it's up though.
