With the counting and spelling in the zone, it's getting very educational.

How does he pronounce Gamiero? Dewhurst gives it the gammy-air-ro.

Actually would like to know this too. Gammy-Air-Ro was what I heard too, but that just doesn't sound right.

I had been pronouncing it "Ga-Mare-O" - No idea how it is pronounced, but Dewhurst's just sounded wrong

Love how Dewhurst and De Jong say it differently to each other.

More often than not, he is.

Fuck this stupid game

Still annoys me that he gets Huysegems name wrong.

Gam-ear-o fit's into my Bingo chant perfectly. I would never trust Andrew 'Rock-arse' Dewhurst with pronounciation.

Spelling of peoples names and pronunciation is very important.  Personally I think it's disrespectful not to get it right.

Especially as a commentator, I understand some trouble when you have a foreign team come to town, but not for your own local teams players, and if you know you have a foreign team coming then do some research, don't just wing it.

With Durante, I think he approves Duran-tea.

Is Duran-tay incorrect?

Damn, my bad. Do I get points for making a chant that requires the correct pronounciation of his name though?

Only listened to the first half of this but this is great stuff - would be great if Veitch got this side of the story and that was what went out on the air rather than Gareth's randomness

I bet a lot of fans would feel a lot better after listening to this, I certainly feel a lot more reassured!

Great to have Domey on. Should get more guests like this that can gives the fans the truth to some of the stories plastered in the media and it was interesting re: the coaches.

Just the impression I got from what Dome said in the podcast. Said Calcott had done well and would be considered for TW coach next season, but from then on kept saying 'the new coach'.

Had the same feeling myself.I don't have a source either.

Top Pod...well done guys!

Nothing like a bit of communication to clear the air. Well done Domey too for being straight up. We could do with more of this sort of interaction.

Liked the Coach discussion. "all the usual applicants" had applied. I guess that includes Trani....and who else? Miron, Kossie, Merrick??

So the time line is...ad goes out for two weeks, then a week to review and make a short list, interviews...which could take a while if travel is involved and then a decision. Probably take a month all up.....so we should know by early.mid April. New coach could be on deck by May...which means a bit tight for players coming off A-League contracts.

sorry, dumbarse here. I know there is a partnership between the nix and tw, but why does the Wellington Phoenix board get a say in who coaches Team Wellington?

It's not Phoenix Board, but a committee with both Phoenix and Team Wellington representation on it.

I hope El Grap and 2ndBest don't become referees - there would be no one left on the pitch!

It's an example of cooperation, looking at the big picture and putting self-interest aside for the greater good. These are all concepts that will be unfamiliar to NZ football fans.
