Telfer, a tragic buffoon in my view

limited knowledge, thinks he's god's gift = not a good combination especially in this instance!

I seldom survive more than 2-3 minutes before i have to change stations when he's on (that smarmy voice - not for me thanks)

The guy commentates on Netball!! What does that tell you. Loads of publicity on both TV channels regarding Becks exploits in Aussie. Hopefully the extra exposure will sell out this game. Bring it on.

The one thing i would say about Brendan is he regularly attends football in Auckland. NZFC, O-League, Chatham cup final. This is likely his sons influence. So he deserves credit for that.
But for his golf commitments this weekend he may have been in Wellington.

fair enough Sanday, but i really have probs with his condescending attitude, but like you say good that he attends football - shame he doesn't talk it up a bit!! (edit - maybe he does?, but I'm long gone by then )

Is Ticketek going to honor the both games on the Galaxy tickets? We have talked to ticketek and they have said they will not be for both games.

Almost fell over Beckham on the way to the loo last night before I realised why the security guards were starting to look so serious. My wife was envious and wanted to fall over him on his way back.

Just got confirmation from the stadium staff - Cameras are allowed to be taken in the stadium, but no video cameras (unless it's a digital camera that also takes videos haha)

Excellent news.

As folks said it was a circus, but it was our circus, and I'm glad I was there.

Only thing I can say is that it felt odd having the sections opposite the fever zone nearly empty while some other aisles were chocka.  Why didn't they spread the sales out around the park so it looked fuller?

Still a top effort from everyone in Welly who showed up, just think - for Sydney to have the proportion of our city's population attending their game against galaxy they'd need to sell 310,000 tickets, yet they only just sold out the day before.  We had a higher population percentage of sales in the first week than Sydney could ever fit in their stadium.

All in all a fun match and hopefully one that draws fans back for the atmosphere, I know that after my first game I was hooked.

I scored my ticketec guy in Lower Hutt at 5:00pm and am glad. I ended up in Aisle 18 and had Borat sitting two rows in front of me.  Got a good photo with him.

Oh and the guy at the Lower Hutt Ticktec could not be more friendly and helpful if he tried. Brilliant service.

Hey I saw you there, I came up and spoke to you before the game about getting into the fever zone! btw I did manage it, up the very back, which was interesting; sound kinda died when it went over the top of the people sitting in aisle 21.

The fact that Ticketek didn't consider to warn those poor people they were in the standing section...

If Ticketek burns to the ground, I will laugh my arse off. It's liken they're TRYING to sabotage football in New Zealand.
