one victory will send us shooting up the table, given our injury concerns we aren't doing that badly. Perth will crash as they did last season - sh*t coach remember, sydney and brisbane will stay around the top, sydney are due after failing last year and Roar are too good but can be obviously frustrated by teams parking the bus early. The rest are beatable once we get our entire squad back.

I don't know if you are right, but HOW DO YOU KNOW that the Perth coach is sh*t?

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

pretty sure last season's form slump from about this time in the season is enough evidence to suggest he had no plan B...ie sh*te!

Sorry if this has already been covered, but in light of all the angst, I was curious to know how our league position this year compares to our respective league position in the 09/10 season. So far, our position each week has been equal to or better than our position in that same week two years ago.

Week    09/10 Season    11/12 Season

    1                    6th               5th
    2                    6th               3rd
    3                    4th               4th
    4                    8th               7th
    5                    8th               8th
    6                    9th               9th
    7                    9th               9th

Might not be panic stations just yet?

Definitely not panic stations as everyone from Brisbane down is pretty average. Back to back wins and we shoot right up the table.

Three for me, and two for them.

We need 3 points very very soon, or a run for the finals will become much harder later in the season.

If we have a good win today we go to 6th. It has to be the target.    Brisbane are just phenomenal.   Hope their run continues until they play us at Forsyth Barr stadium. And hopefully Melbourne lose or scoreless draw will do.

Um, a scoreless draw gets Heart 1 point ahead of a winning Nix, George. If they lose and Nix win by 2+(more than Heart score) we could go 6th.Here's hoping.

we need to start winning while we still have a a good number or home games left to get that form back. Today is the day.

3points required - and a bonus point for four goals would be great too

Same number of points, same goal difference, but we have scored fewer than Heart. 3 points seperate 3rd and 9th.

my A-League app says we're in 8th place, same points at Melbourne Heart and Adelaide. We're sandwiched between them on goal difference (and as pointed out above Heart have scored more goals).

If you take out Roar and CCM, the other 8 teams are very close.

Is anyone else taking as much satisfaction that Miron the mouth and his traveling chimp show are bottom of the league?

I would have taken more if he'd grabbed three points and put the Tards down there. But it'll do.

Shows how even the league is, Victory have been very poor but are 3rd.

Two points seperating third from ninth.  So tight, even by A-League standards!

Another 3 and we'll be right up there. And against an inconsitent heart, and a travelling perth, I would expect at least 4 if not the full 6 points, which will put us sky high in time to beat brisbane in dunnaz,

Game against Heart could be a 'six pointer', so we need to play well.

Also, good to see we don't have a negative GD, compared to a number of other teams.

Everyone else (except Victory) have been torn apart by Brisbane, which is why they are in the negative. The game in Dunedin could be vital in terms of GD at the end of the season.

Our GD - relatively speaking - is good.

Roar's is amazing !
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

we also play Roar at RoF in February. Lets hope for two more solid performances against the run away leaders.
