What's the longest losing streak in the A-League?

NZ Football Knights
  • Losing Streak: 11 games (18 September 2005 1 December 2005)
  • Winless Streak: 18 games (18 September 2005 2 September 2006)

Surely Roar can't lose another 6 games in a row

Broich is still out next week against the Victory, so could extend it to 6.

Ye Gods the Knights were bad... 11 losses in a row?? OUCH!

I'm suprised it wasn't more- before Ricki took over how many goals had they scored?

I remember trotting along to a game after they got one and seeing them get thrashed by the Victory

Goal this week: Overtake the Roar.

the way the raor aaer playing it's highly possible, Adelaide ar3en't great but will be tough at home, 3 points for us and none for the roar would bne nice. We could have 3rd spot before the two home games in Jan. theprof2011-12-28 10:36:41

We need a result at Hindmarsh - if that be a hard-earned draw, I'd probably take it.

3 points will be tough with a new coach. It usually is when they have a change of gaffer.

dam it!

ok, trying to think of positives, still in the black for goal difference. Our defence is still better than 5 other teams. and we are at home for our next two games. We have to get 6 points from them.

I do, but I never include the nix away as I don't like betting against us

Victory is the last game. They were paying a ridiculous $4.80 at the time.

We have only got to 2 points away out of 18 possible. Goes without saying that home wins are absolutely vital

The table is a bit flattering for us...Melb, Perth and Newcastle have only played 12 games vs our 14......there is a chance that a couple of them could get above us if they win their 2 catch up games

If that tonight (CCM) was the best team in the league, then we certainly dont have too much to fear.

League closing right up after this week's results.

Imperative we pick up points at home next week in a home double, because there are plenty of road games coming up. We need at least 4 of 6.

So regardless of other results we finish Big Wednesday in 4th place. Nice.

Sitting comfortably in the top 6 as well, if we can pick up a couple of wins away we could be in the push for a home playoff!

Am I the only one who is mildly aroused by that League Table?

One Fun Fact that was pointed out to me earlier.

The Tards could well be 2nd from bottom of the League by the end of tonight if results keep going against them.

Adelaide have already beaten the Jam Tards and the Jest are level with Clive's Clowns early in their tussle on Big Wednesday!

If either Newcastle or Cold Ghost win that one and Perth nick it against the Orange Pussies then the Tards will be 9th!C-Diddy2012-01-04 20:05:50

would prefer a few at the top break off rather than the bottom few pushing up the table. Dont want it so tight!
