Hopefully still more to come in the play-offs, but we should be well placed for a great 2012/13 season.

This season has been a bit of a grind emotionally, so am very pleased with how the team has performed.  Onwards and upwards, lumen accipe et imperti, audre est facere, quardle ardle oodle wardle doodle.

So we added 7 points in 7 rounds.  Gee that is depressing!

4 out of the 7 were away, and 2 of the home games was against the top 2 teams. It was a hard finish to the season.

A very good season all things considered. We came within a whisker of getting 3rd.....with all the obvious advantages that gives. When you look at the 3 sides above us you can see they all have one big advantage over us. They all have top class, out and out stikers who know how to finish. Roar have Berisha, CCM Ibeni and Sutton and Perth had Smeltz. We have Ifill but he is more a roving attacker than someone who leads the line.

Time after time this season, especially in the last month we have created well but just could not finish. The descision not to go to the market for a striker in January has cost us. If we had someone who could have banged in 7 or 8 goals and helped out Ifill we may have really put pressure on the top two places.

Not sure if Ibeni and Sutton (on showings to date) in the same league as Smeltzy or Berisha.

Ibini has started in 19 games for six goals. Hardly setting world on fire in his second season. But yes i agree we have missed someone scoring 10+ Goals (ifill been well down this year), but I just don't think resources available have met with players available to secure Quality signings this year

The person from CCM that was their out and out striker was Simon. They weren't the same since he left, and managed to blow an 11 point lead that they had earned with him in their side.

Quite right... I had forgotten about the Ginga.... although am amazed that he managed to score 7 goals this year and eleven last....

Definitely. Look at their results since 7 or so results.
Most of their positive results 1-0 , 1-1. They hardly been prolific in goal scoring since, their saving grace is their quite remarkable defensive record.
Not sure it'll be enough against Brisbane...
They'll surely need to score more than one goal to win.
