Crikey Patrick.  Your speed of delivery is getting Piney-esque.

Perth having a game in hand might help them out later...

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Always the optimist ;-)

Actually it is being more of a realist. No point saying we will win this and be top. when in fact it is going to be a struggle given the circumstances. Lets hope we dick then.

After 2 games...

07/08 - DL - 1pt - LWDWLLLLWLDDLWDWLLL - 20 pts (21 games)

08/09 - DL - 1 pt - LDLWDWLLWWWLDWLWLDL - 26 pts (21 games)

09/10 - LW - 3 pts - DLDDDDDDWLWDWLDLDWWWLLWWW - 40 pts (27 games)

10/11 - DW - 4pts - LLWDLWLDLLWLLWDLWLWDWLWLWWLW - 41 pts (30 games)

11/12 - DW - 4 pts - LLLDDWLWWLWLWLWWWWLLWWDLL - 40 pts (27 games)

12/13 - WD - 4 pts

Still the (equal) best start to the season ever.

Can see an improvement over the years, soon it will be 6 points!

Let's try not to repeat the LL of the last two seasons now.

And looks like 4 points is the most ever after 3 games as well...

Almost as good as us being second is the fact that the Bling and the Tards are bottom and second bottom of the league.

Was just thinking that. With big blobs in the right hand column too.

Also FFA FC are third from bottom.

How do people think the teams rank? It's hard to tell with some teams (like the Tards, Bling, and Jest) being absolutely appalling, whilst others (like Adelaide, Brisbane, and Us) showing class against lowly opponents.

From the games I've seen, no team looks unbeatable. I think we should have the squad to make the top 4, we just need to make sure that we keep picking up points away from home.

From the two games we've played, I'd say overall our squad and Brisbane have been the two with some genuine class.

Jets are not looking too bad, but nobody else has really stood out as early title contenders.

I expect a cracker of a game this weekend to decide the top spot.

Jets okay on Saturday but dreadful the week before, same with brisbane.

We just need the shit displays to co-incide with games against us.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Jets have been poor against us in recent history. Im not sure if we really have looked as class as people are thinking. We were playing against Sydney remember

This. Although we haven't seen enough to really speculate on yet. We won't really know where everybody is at until round five or so.

Sydney had a very limited off season apparently so they may improve quite rapidly. Melbourne B might be a half decent team if Archie breaks his drought and combinations get going (their defense will still suck but might out score a few teams and make the finals... just). Macallister could prove his undonkeyness once for all (I'm not convinced) and Williams could have a blinder at Heart. Anything could happen.

Seems to me that Arche is over rated, people saying he's the greatest Australian coach of all time, sure he has his ideas and at Brisbane he was given a blank canvas to recruit so that his vision would come to life, but surely a great manager sets up a game plan around the players that he has. Given a couple of years and a blank checkbook he might get Victory playing nice football and challenging for the top, but this year I don't think his players are up to it, he should play a much more direct game and plan to play from the back next year.

Inflexible + team that can't execute your game plan = not in the finals.

Needs to score more goals - though having Allsop alongside him will make him thing he has his pace back, I'm not so sure.
