League Table 2012/13 - The Pathetic Thread

Not a good week for the Phoenix table-wise. Wins in the mid-table make it harder for us to progress over the coming weeks.

Next week sees the two top teams playing the two bottom teams. These matches are likely to influence the overall distribution range of the table (it will either get wider or narrower). Beating Melbourne Heart is a must in terms of keeping in touch with the pack.

 For now we drop down a place, so need the 3 points tomorrow.

Are wins worth more points if we drop down a place the night before?

 So there are two games on after the Phoenix, I guess people will head to 4Kings to watch some of the other games?

1-0 win for Sydney over Mariners. They're going to be right in the mix for top 6 with their current resurgence. Which is annoying.

It's a bit weird, because this season we actually have a player that can step up and fill the gap left in the back if one of our defenders gets suspended. 

possibly a bit restrained because of the threat from HAL to slap us hard if we misbehaved following the Jets 'friendly'

then again, happy not to be as thuggish as Sidnee, Jets or Victoree

I'm not too fussed on the WSW Victory result. The rest have gone our way. 3 points today helps. Kinda ironic that the bottom placed team is 1 win away from being in the play offs. Close league this year.

In saying that, I wish they would go to a top 4 or 5.

Honestly think we will be lucky to make top 6 from here. Start of the season I thought we had a top 4 squad, but it is becoming obvious that we don't even have a top 6 squad.
