Anyone here not a Perth Glory fan just for this weekend?

I'm certainly not.  I want them to lose so we have a chance of taking 8th spot on the table.

I am still gobsmacked that shower of shit Sydney managed to finish in 5th place, although no one really in places 7-10 deserve to be there either.

Probably a sad reflection on the league that 5 teams out of 10 are not really up to it for whatever reason. Adelaide played some nice football at times. The top 4 could all beat each other on any given day, although you would be brave to go past Brisbane at this stage.

I'm picking a Victory v CCM final. Both teams have stepped it up since the ACL started. Brisbane still seem to be stuck in 3rd gear atm.

After 27 games...

07/08 - DLLWDWLLLLWLDDLWDWLLL - 20pts (21 games)

08/09 - DLLDLWDWLLWWWLDWLWLDL - 26pts (21 games)

09/10 - LWDLDDDDDDWLWDWLDLDWWWLLWWW - 40 pts (27 games)

10/11 - DWLLWDLWLDLLWLLWDLWLWDWLWLW - 35pts - WLW - 41 pts (30 games)

11/12 - DWLLLDDWLWWLWLWLWWWWLLWWDLL - 40pts (27 games)

12/13 - WDDLLLWDWLLDWLLLLDWLLDLWLWL - 27pts (27 games)

13/14 - LDDLDLDLLLWWWDWLWWLWLDDLLLL - 28pts (27 games)

So there you have it - 1 pt and 1 place better off than our worst ever season.

And a largely under-reported fact - we closed out the season with our equal worst-ever losing streak - 4 games.

The last seven games of this season (2 pts from a possible 21 (9%), and no wins) is actually our worst run of games ever.

We went 10 games without a win at the start of the season but still picked up 4 pts out of 30 (13%).

We also went 8 games without a win in 09/10 but at least picked up 7 pts from draws (29%).

Pffft.  2 points, 8 games. When we get to that I'll know we've arrived as a real club.

Just preparing the form tracker for Round 1 of this season...

07/08 - D - 1pt - LLWDWLLLLWLDDLWDWLLL - 20pts (21 games)

08/09 - D - 1pt - LLDLWDWLLWWWLDWLWLDL - 26pts (21 games)

09/10 - L - 0pt- WDLDDDDDDWLWDWLDLDWWWLLWWW - 40 pts (27 games)

10/11 - D - 1pt - WLLWDLWLDLLWLLWDLWLWDWLWLW - 35pts - WLW - 41 pts (30 games)

11/12 - D - 1pt - WLLLDDWLWWLWLWLWWWWLLWWDLL - 40pts (27 games)

12/13 - W - 3pt - DDLLLWDWLLDWLLLLDWLLDLWLWL - 27pts (27 games)

13/14 - L - 0pt - DDLDLDLLLWWWDWLWWLWLDDLLLL - 28pts (27 games)

14/15 -

We only need to win on Sunday to secure our BEST START TO THE SEASON EVER!!*

(*actually equal best).

Important question - now that we have a nice shiny new league table on the home page will we still have a League Table 2014/15 Season thread?

I say yes, because we will still need a place to discuss progress, form, play-off chances etc. It is also the natural home of stuff like this and other analysis, charts, graphs, various stats etc.

Unless we rename it something more general like 2014/15 Season Progress?

I'm trying to get the website code to automatically post the table from the Fever homepage to a League Table thread every time it updates. Piney v3.0.

It never ceases to amaze me just what a weird season it was. 4/30 from the first 10 games, 22/30 for the next 10, and then 2/21 for the last 7.

We all remember the horrible run at the end with all the injuries mounting up, but tend to forget what a horrible start we had as well. The game we watched at the members night last December (vs CCM I think) sticks in my memory with a pen miss and Brockie missing an open goal etc.

I don't know, but Edward Woodward would!

14/15  WWWDWLWWLW would be a nice starting run.
