Perth beats us by 2 goals and we end up sixth and playing Victory in Melbourne instead of Adel

CCM are that shark!

6th is looking likely given Perth's form and the likelihood that they'll play their best 11 given the rested players and lost to Sydney. We are going to regret those losses to the Reds and Roar a few weeks back.

So City have essentially just created the possibility of now having an away trip to Adelaide instead of a "home" game against Victory. They didn't think that through did they?

To be fair, they did take the foot off after the 5th, perhaps for this very reason.

Victory didn't look too good against WSW and haven't been playing that well last few games maybe we do wanna face them instead of Adelaide

Permalink Permalink

I'd feel more confident playing in Melbourne than in Adelaide, personally

Permalink Permalink

Not me. I feel like Adelaide are a team that's peaked, and we're well overdue for a good shift there.

Victory always have another gear (at least), particularly at finals time.

Adelaide for me, 100%.

Bottom half finish.  Perhaps the media can stop talking about how Mark Rudan has made us "title contenders"

In the final analysis, it's the three games against Newcastle that determined the season. We got 7 points out of those games, and they got only 1, and that's basically the difference between the two teams.

Table if only games against top 6 sides counted.

Who knows what would have happened without the off field issues as we seemed to be building well after a slow start. Rudan's reputation was built over a half a dozen games mid-season.

Agree 100%.  We might have kicked on if Rudan was prepared to stay for the second year as the team has gelled by then (but Louie's injury would have made it difficult for us regardless).

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Patrick said he needs to do some tinkering with FeverBot's code so it can cope with a 11th team who doesn't play each week.

That is how Boris Johnson summoned FeverBot to London.

Apparently Feverbot was the only compromise candidate to get a Brexit deal sorted.
