Controversially, provided the Jets lose and we win, I would very much like Brisbane to win (I know the games aren't in that order) if they were still in with a shot come the last round, chances are they'll be trying a lot harder to beat Perth.

(apologies if this has already been posted) But if ADL (looking at ACL preparation) win tonight then we are in play-offs.

Then NEW will smash CCM (gonners) If SYD beat PER, then pressure is on GCU  - so we may (sorry we will) sneak a result - picking a draw.

Great news for the club (obviously), let's do all we can now to bring a home playoff back to the ROF.

Nice looking at that table, especially for those of us who have been coming back to LPfan1's thread since its beginning.

A little bit of history confirmed for us with the Nix in the play offs for the first time.

Congratulations to Ricki and the boys and all the best tonight with GCU.

Just found out Adelaide won and we are in.
This is one of those "where were you" moments in history.
Given that it is 'happy hour' where I am staying, I might just celebrate in style.edward l2010-02-07 01:18:53

The big question is, can we catch Perth.
They have Sydney this week then Brisbane.
Assuming Perth knock over Brisbane, that's a 5 point difference. We would have to capture all 6 points.
Oddly enough I reckon we can still put GCU on the floor (money to be had on that bet).
So six points it is and fourth spot too.
How times have changed.

We will have to play a hell of a lot better this week if we want to beat GC but I have faith. C'mon!

And a Perth loss will seal the weekend off nicely

Finish 4th and we are home to 5th which will be either the Glory or Jets.

Finish 5th and we  are away to 4th which wil be either the Glory or Jets.

Finish 6th and we are away to 3rd which will be either Melb, Syd or GCU.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Then the winner of one prelim semi (4th vs 5th), plays the winner of the other (3rd vs 6th), and the winner of that game goes on to play the loser of 1st vs 2nd (2 legs) to play the winner of that game (1st vs 2nd) in the Grand Final.
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

If you're looking to book dates for travel etc....the 3 v 6 game is on Saturday February 20 (and will be in Aussie if Phoenix are involved) and the 4 v 5 game is on Sunday February 21, hopefully in Wellington, but also possibly in Aussie, of course.

Hopefully 4th or 5th then...pity that the game would be on a Sunday though, Friday or Saturday night surely would have been better!

Glad to see we have at least 3 more games! I truly hate pre season!

This game against GC is the most important game of our history. We better not give it up easily just because it's an away game. valeo2010-02-07 20:59:05

Are we trotting out this cliche again? Most people say this every week but still have no idea what they are talking about....
