Bar Perth there is a three point gap starting to appear here...a MV win over us next week would emphasise that.

Get over yourself Frankie, you ask for an attacking shape, you got it with 4 - 3- 3, we scored first and were robbed with some really poor reffing. How is any of that Ricki's fault.

8 games at home unbeaten, can't be a bad thing

Sack all the coaches that coach teams with 5 points or less. It's the only way for every team to win the league at once.
I like tautologies because I like them.

Frankie is just being 'hilarious' again because he is in love with Ricki, or he may actually be Ricki judging by his undying commitment to him.

probably, but that kind of comment in jets just encourages the other ricki naysayers out there. And to all of those I say - its only season 3 for us, the first rel season where the coach has had a squad and set up he wants, we've had 8 unbeaten at home it ain that bad.

I wonder how much of thoose 8 games we won though?
Permalink Permalink

Next round could be interesting, apart from Nix vs Tards all the games are teams in the top half vs bottom half so we could end up with a very tight table or the gap could widen somewhat

Unless of course he was referring to how much of the game time in those 8 matches we were ahead (expressed as minutes, percentage or proportions).

Can't we say that the teams being so close together on points adds to the quality of the A-League as all the teams are so even?

Or is that just another excuse for saying the football has been crap and every team has played poorly? :)

Prediction for next round:
Adelaide reds 1 go down to CCM  2
Jets 2 victory  over Brisbane meow 0
Sydeny 2 taking out Fury 0
Melb loss to Nix and dont care about by how much! Clean sheet please!
Glory to hold out Smeltz Coast 1 to nil. Perth won all home games and GCU off an anyway loss.

We need a win.
Permalink Permalink

(Based on latest table with just two sunday games to come)

Assuming GCU deal to Perf:

Win by 3 goals or more put us into 4th
Win by 1 puts us into 5th
Draw will leave us where we are (unless GCU beat Perf by 3 or more)
Loss will have us 9th unless we get pasted by 4 or more).

I choose win with lashings of goals please.

Hey LF1,

It is possible that you could placed the match results that changed the ladder table so it saves us from flicking from page to page trying to figure out what the changes are or opening another window for the A-League website since you have the result right in front of you to do the ladder table.

BTW I really appreciate this thread you have here.

Thanks.

NQF are clear last on goal differential. We're only equal on points. Otherwise they'd be ahead of us in alphabetical order.Ard Righ2009-09-13 18:03:33

Two home games. Expecting at least 4 points, 6 would be excellent.

Interesting that the draw last week and this week when we deserved the points is the difference between 9 and 3 on the table.

Grumpy old bastard alert
