Gentlemen,

No wonder crowds are so mediocre if Gold Coast is the team setting the standards after eight completed rounds. If that's the top team in the league ... Godfathers, they were gob5#1+e!!

We should go watch the womens league huh.

But seriously, have you seen any other game from GCU? (probably not..grr sky tv..) You cant judge the standard of an entire league by an off game by its league leaders.

I would think it's good for us as it keeps the pack close.

Three for me, and two for them.

and not based on goal difference...more alphabetical which goes out the window after day one of any league.   3 point gaps needs some bridging..maybe an elusive win would do that.

Trouble now is that if we win it puts us on 12 points, but we'll need to win by a few to move much in the table.  If we win by 1 and Adelaide lose we could potentially remain in the same position on the table.

I hope it isn't 'or similar'.  I up in Wgton on 4 Nov so will be able to see my first Phoenix league game.  Is it not confirmed 4 Nov?

Sydney, Perth and GCU all won to move further away from us, but we have to worry about getting into the top 6 first before trying to displace them.

Not the worst week for us with CCM, Brisbane and Adelaide all failing to win, picking up just the one point between them.

Had we played and beat Newcastle, we'd be in 6th spot.

Big game next week up against NQF away from home. They've been going okay after a shocking start, but we had the much the better of them last week. Will be an interesting match-up, and I for one, don't want another draw!

Providing we'd won by two goals or 6-5. Otherwise 7th.

Only 2 sides have got a better defense than us....but we are worst equal for goals scored. Still if we had played and beaten Newcastle 2-0 we would be 6th now.

Every game seems to be " vital' but there is now a top group of clubs starting to break away...goes without saying that we need to start getting a few back to back wins. Otherwise we will be stuck in a group fighting for that 6th spot.

I agree Tegal.   I totally rely on Liverpoolfan 1's updates after each match.
Talk about dedication to the cause.
Cheers again Piney!
