moss also, if not for him the game would of finished much differently, closest choice behind was bertos, who grows more and more in confidence every game, deserved that goal after the penalty was not given against him

3rd string Melbourne keeper Glen Moss for me. 2 points would go to Bertos and 1 to Smeltz.

Glen.

Three for me, and two for them.

Sorry, just want to get this right. So when a central defender is woefully out of position it's the keeper's fault for not organising the defence?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Oh dear.

Moss for me, by a mile.

Moss first, Siggy not far behind. After being a bit shaky in the first half he was immense in the second!

Has to be Moss.

Most of the rest did a workmanlike job, and improved as the game went on.

But Moss kept us in a game that could have been dead and buried.

Glen Moss. Unf**king believable yet again. Player of the season already.

Agree. Without Moss we'd have lost the game before half time.

Same here. Made me laugh seeing Siggy go mano a mano with El**ch. We need that fire in the team (even though it was probably a bit silly and could've got him sent off).

Special thank you to Ricki for finally, finally giving Daniel a full game - and I reckon he put in an excellent effort too. Some good crosses, good corners, nice little touches, and even some tenacious defending. Certainly the best of the midfielders for me.

Tbh Moss must be the most over-rated keeper in the league I think people forget when Paston plays he is never forced to make those types of saves so thats why we never or rarely see him make them, because he doesn't need to as his defence is organized.wellyphoenixfan2009-01-04 22:52:11

This comment is either a sad attempt at humour or just plain outright dumb. Moss was absolutely outstanding and was the sole reason we were not 3 - 0 down at half time.

Great to see Hearfield contribute with a great cross for the goal and the run for the penalty but to be honest the rest of the game he was largely ineffective. But two assists is not a bad days work.

Are you taking the piss?? Are you Nightz in disguise??

Paston don't play because he can't make those saves....

Paston and Moss both have their own strengths and weaknesses. If you could somehow meld them together to make one keeper they would be terrific.

Moss is probably the best out and out shot stopper in the league, though. Galekovich is quite good as well.

Agree the games I've seen him he has impressed great reflexes and commands his area well.

I've had a great laff tonight with mates, but this seriously is some of the funniest sh*t I've ever come across. Nice comedy.

Our defense playing their forwards onside then deciding not to even chase the ball because their attempt to get an offside decision failed was not the fault of Moss.

MOM? Clearly Costa! Didn't put a foot wrong.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Heh currently Moss 36 Smeltz 2

funny old day when you score 2 goals and you can only get an 1/18th of the MOM vote!

Moss keopt us in the game for the first half, could have easily been 4/4 nil top them at half time if Moss had'nt been playing his"A" game - this gave smeltzy the chance to shine in a much better second half!

Moss.

Special mention to Muscat and Daniel too (and Smeltz of course).

Seriously, can this guy be banned? Absolute chump.

Its ridiculous how good Moss is. Folied Tarek El**ch alone at least 3 times. He is going to be just as big a loss as Smeltz.

Speaking of Smeltz, how good was that finish? Class.

Also think Daniel had a decent second half, and Bertos was solid again.

Ok people are not looking at what I said clearly heres some facts:

Moss has played 9.5 games and conceded 17 goals
Paston has played 8.5 games and conceded 10 goals

Now someone try explain to me what makes Moss the better keeper, you have to remember that shot-stopping isn't the only thing that makes a keeper.

Yes because conceeding goals is the best way to determine thier ability.  Both moss and Paston have thier good and bad points.  But i don't agree with you that Paston is a far better organiser.  I have watch 2 or 3 training matches where there wasn't a crowd around and there didn't seem to be much vocals around.

Well can you explain how you would measure them up, 7 goals more is quite a large amount.
