I blame Payne for the second goal, going down to get the ball, sure Kosta was gone. Speaking of Payne, his crossing is also not very good. I wish Uffi would play Fenton down that line, he always adds something when coming on.

Agreed. Maybe Payne still drunk from that golf cart ride

That certainly wasn't one of Payne's best games. King seemed to have the better of him duel wise. I expect with 3 games in a week we might see a bit more of Fenton

Talay's comment that some players need to step it up rings true for me.

In attack we have got to be better. We have to at least get shots on target. Muratovic, Lewis, McGarry were all guilty of blazing wide from good positions. We can't expect Uli to keep scoring for us, other have to step up.

Might be a bit harsh but In defence at times, I felt we just weren't desperate enough to get a block in. Its that last 5% that is usually the difference between winning and losing.

Trying to cross to...Piscopo? He got a good understanding with Hooper. Doesn't have it with Hemed yet and not much else to aim at there.

But yeh, wasn't his most impressive outing. Him, Devlin, Rufer and McGarry basically senior players now.

To me it looks like Uffie is currently subbing Fenton on to play as a left winger, and not the Tim Payne role.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Think he has shown from some of his touches if we can get our delivery right he can add value.  Still dont get why Sheridan is used as example way over rated by many.

comparing Sheridan to Hemed is daft, two very different players bought to the club to do different jobs. Sheridan came here on a short term contract, he barely saw any game time, although when he came on he often made an impact- we never really saw his full potential.

Hemed is here for a full season, at least, he has already shown his potential, just need him to click with the rest of the squad and hopefully we will see some goals.

When was that?

his positioning has been decent, he's made some decent runs in every game just not got the last pass or touch he needs to get a clear shot, the assist for Davila showed me enough that he is working hard on building an understanding with the other aqttacking players and the goals will hopefully come.

Agreed. Some players take longer to get them working together. If we are lucky we get an intuitive understanding like Ball and Hooper. If we are unlucky we get people who cannot read what others around them are doing.

I would not expect Talay investing in Hemed if he did not see his potential. If anything, Talay's man-management is probably the best among the current coaches, it certainly was shown during the last season. So I am prepared to be patient around Hemed.

Fenton has come on for McGarry 3 times and Payne once. I think it just comes down fitness or game situation/tactical changes.

Sheridan came with good pedigree and had good impact as a creator but not as a goal scorer, it always looked like he would come right and score a lot of goals but for whatever reason it didn't and he's struggled since he left us, so either we got him as he was starting to decline or we destroyed his confidence and he hasn't yet got it back.

He also struggled to get game time right? Iirc we had good form as a team and it was difficult for him to break in?

yep, most games he played he might have got 15 minutes max. I think he may have only started a couple.

Just realized we are playing CCM next, don't think we will win but a point is possible with a shakeup of the squad.

Hemed always looks very unhappy with himself when subbed off, good sign. I hope he unlocks his full potential on Sunday.

Look on the bright side, Matt Simon won't score his one or two hundreth goal against us and we won't here about it ad nauseum.
