God I'm glad you took that the way I meant it. Was mildly cut when I wrote it...

I think we can have a good Zone season if the team steps up...which I reckon is on the cards.

or possibly "we can have a good team this season, if the zone steps up."

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked

The name recording seems pretty weird. Isn't there ctv being recorded just so that anyone who does something stupid can be identified through that?

But I don't really care. Virtually no impact.

Because if you accept that the FFA/club gets to decide who goes in the zone then you are accepting that everything we do as supporters is subject to approval by the club.  And that might not be important today, but it could be important further down the track.

We've had 1 bottle thrown in 6 years.  Have we ever had an arrest?  I doubt it

I was at a one day international in Dunedin where people (not me) threw can and bottles on the pitch for 40 minutes and the game was held up.  What was the outcome of that?  Nothing other than they stopped selling cans at the stadium the next year

During the Australian tour of 2006 they had to close the front two rows of the stadium because people were biffing so much stuff at the Aussie fielders.  What happened after that?  Nothing

I don't like being assumed that I will be a criminal for going and watching my football team. It implies that football fans are potential criminals - if you accept that implication then inevitably you get more focus, and more attention focussed on behaviour which inevitably will mean more minor incidents are highlighted/reported, then you get more controls implemented. That's bad for the club, bad for crowds and bad for the game - which matters hugely.

Well put Normo.

For that reason, and because direct opposition has failed, I suggest we undertake active resistance.

All we need to do is encourage people buying tickets on the day to give fake names and emails.

As discussed previously in this thread, an amusing place to start would be the names of former Nix players. Bags Cleberson.

Should we encourage people to ALL give a single name? Maybe our line of active resistance is that EVERYONE who buys fever zone tickets gives the name Cleberson.

They might cotton on a bit quicker if we do that. But I'm easy.

I reckon it'd be hellishly amuse if they got to the end of the season and reviewed their list, and realised then that they had a squad list of failed Nix players.

Almost worthwhile joining the Fever Zone just to be an ex-Nix.

Does it extend to ex staff/owners?
