I mean sorry to be a real stick in the mud and I'm completely biased. But surely they coulda boldened the design, something akin to this?

I might try and see it in person before I get it, it's possible that's just the first run, and the black is a little washed out, or it didn't show up on the camera great, who knows? By the time it's actually released it might pop a bit more like this. 

And if it doesn't we can still add this banana skin to our rich and unique kit history ;)

Still not 100% clear what that means, but presumably the ones we buy look more like the one on the website, as Ive posted above. I think it still should have had the stripes a little bolder though...

In the player photos you can see a yellow edge to the crest and paladin logo - these look like heat pressed stickers. With sublimation, everything is essentially printed onto the material so no chance of falling off etc, and will be a lot nicer look.

The mockup on the website is probably a render, and who knows if the colours have been tweaked in the photography. I'd probably want to see it in real life before buying.

Hey just wondering if non members get scarfs? Last season my Uncle was so happy (not that you could tell from his voice or face lol) that I became a fan he just gave me his membership scarf so I'm not sure. Couldn't see anything on their official website about scarfs either.

You can buy scarves at the stadium or at sport shops, they won't be membership scarves though.

Absolute class imo, stoked that they’ve gotten all the sponsors (including maccas and chemist warehouse) to be in black and white, and really happy that they’ve kept the tohu design throughout.

Not a bad shirt ,but as a kit it's black and therefore total crap for football.

I just don't understand the pattern on top of a pattern. It was so close to being perfect.

Sure, I get the cultural significance, but we've had that exact same tohu design for years - and why layer it on top of another design idea?

Black looks great but might not be so good in hot summer sunny days.

Sometimes you have to, and IMHO should be taken into consideration with kit design.

This season, away to Newcastle who are light/dark/dark, we should be in dark/light/light.

Not sure any major retail outlet stocks Paladin? I got an email about them from Football Central but they are in Wellington.

I'm pretty sure just ordering online from the phoenix website is the go.

It would be nice to try one on for fit before buying.

Football Central say that they are shipping orders from next week, which means it could possibly arrive around the 23rd / 24th. If it fits like a tent or I cannot get my belly in and have to ship it back, there is a risk that I do not get it returned and sent back here before the Auckland game. 

Edit - I noticed that you spoke of the Phoenix website, and not FC. Had a look there and they say nothing about how long it will take to ship, apart from 'For customised jerseys, please allow an extra 15 working days for delivery'. That is not comforting.

Being solution focussed, either 

1. Soak it in boiling water in the hope it shrinks, or
2. Wear it in a sauna for 48 hours in the hope you lose said belly. Works for jockeys, or
3. Get the scissors out and make it into a crop top, painting yellow & black stripes over said belly. No one will notice

I believe RYOS only has Wellington based stores.

Looks like Players Sports has old Nix jerseys, but that may have been when Nix were the only A League club in town.

Maybe flick them an email and see if they're gonna stock em this year?

Was sure I saw one in Queenstown, but that was pre covid in fairness. Had always assumed they were nationwide. 

For those based in Auckland it looks like Players Sports has home, away, and keeper kits for preorder on their website, so should have physical stock in store to try hopefully in the not too distant future

Well, our kit has made the top 5 worst ALM kits for this season according to ESPN. Don't think it's that bad but yea, not sure what the designers were thinking with the stripes and the pattern...

 Man those stripes look like an inkjet printer which is running out of ink. Could have been class with a properly contrasting pinstripe but thats meh.

Gone with grey pinstripes instead of black - and super light.

I don't normally put much weight on the design opinions of sports journos, but absolutely those pinstripes are too light.

Will be the first home strip i dont buy. Very disapointed in what has been presented this season. Will look like all yellow from the stands.

 well,I think it's better than last years horror, but pin stripes needed to be much bolder.
