Kings might have missed on the finals by a game but they had no where near the support or the backroom professionalism that has been seen this year, on a very short notice mind you....

Glad to see a Queensland fan making some positive comments. It's a shame that so many Roar fans come on here purely to act childish, and in doing so make your lot look bad. I'm originally from NSW and grew up cheering against the Maroons, but even I acknowledge that Queensland deserves better than some of the idiots who have come from your side (and a better colour combination, but that's another story )

I've personally taken a dislike to the Roar because, from what I've seen, they play dirty and cheat - deliberately targeting Felipe, Kruse's diving, and Seo's acting that has seen two of our players carded for elbows that never occurred - and I believe the same sentiment is shared by many others on this forum. I do acknowledge that we see it through yellow-tinted glasses though, just as your and your fellow Queenslanders see it through orange tinted glasses.

Best of luck for next Friday, here's hoping it's a good game.

(...that ends with 3 points given to the 'nix!)

Nothing wrong with banter, but if on Friday we win and you are not to be seen, then shame on you.

You've got a deal. Besides being a supporter is backing your side win, lose or draw, unless you follow ScumCity FC of course...

We have the worst disciplinary record in the league as it stands so saying other teams play dirty is a bit rich :p

Mate, I just want to see a successful league across the board and that can't be done without all teams doing the right things..

Like in a parts of life there is idiots everywhere, our forum included but I can say most "so called" idiots of ours' aren't real supporters anyway. Our true supporters are the best bunch of people albeit slightly mental & mad, which makes for some fun times in and out of the stadiums.

As for the colour combination, I've no problems with it but who personally prefer they revert back to an all orange strip but they could wear pink polkdots and I'd still support them because there my side..

I disagree with you on the playing dirty & cheating point. We play hard and make no apologies for it, at the end of 90mins we're there to win games not make friends...
  • Deliberately targeting certain players has been in football since the game began and is never going to go away.
  • Kruse diving is new to me, and seems teams also target him due to his age & size, the fact is he hasn't been booked for diving yet when others have, including one of your own for memory.
  • Now for the elbows, Seo is one tough bastard and you know when he goes down it's for a reason. The fact is FIFA have directed the three blind men controlling the games to crack down on this across the world. And if your club isn't trying to fight the charge proves they accept the action on the field...

May the best team win on Friday night, that team being the one wearing white & orange of course... Good luck for the rest of your season and hopefully a few more wins, with the teams you have to play any points you take off them is of benifit to us....

I think we should drop Elrich, and put Lochead in to his position. He needs to start playing better, our marquee midfielder shouldn't be outshone by a defender.

Hopefully he'd gain the motivation to play better.

OK, this may have been said before, but I got half way down page one and could only come up with one question; why change a winning team?

We went out and gave possibly our best performance last week, scored three, conceded none, could have scored more.  It's not like we have a backlog of games and player fatigue to contend with.

We were playing against a 10 men then 9 men Perth side - Queensland will be an altogether different prospect.

but ricki didny pick last weeks team to play against 9, he thought it was the best in the circumstance. i think lochead staying in the middle gives us a counter to the pace of fall over boy. im with dlb, you dont change a winning team

I still think either Johnson/Brown or Aloisi should start. Aloisi is the captain after all and Johnson was good when he came on. These 3 guys are the backbone of the team.

all 3 of them? no way, two of them? well maybe but id still be iffy about it going into a game we need to win, then the question is which 1 starts. ross looked great going forward against sydney but hasnt played much since, browny was poor v adelaide, question mark over johnos pace in trying to combat very quick qland midfield. so im not sure which one id start, probably ross, with johno on the bench.

and yes that fence im sitting on is hurting

Haha. I think maybe 2 but definately at least 1 should start. I think those guys add something we lack - composure.

Aloisi is out injured, and Brown has a niggling injury.  So only likely to see Johnson involved in any way.

Loved the comments from the Roar guys.  Always amusing to hear protestations that "we don't give a rats about you" and then post six messages on our board!  And pure gold to suggest Marcinho would score.  He was rubbish in front of goal against the Mariners.  Reinaldo, Lynch and Marcinho - the three strikers who couldn't score!  Imagine how well Queensland would play with a Smeltz, Griffiths or Brosque in their team.

Regarding their strip, I think pink polka dots would be an improvement on what is, quite simply, far and away the worst strip in the A-League, which has not been improved by "The Coffee Club".  The Roar players should file a lawsuit for being humiliated in the course of their employment duties.

Before we get upset by any further posting from the Queensland boys please remember this is the state of Australia where nine young men gang raping a 10 year old is considered acceptable.  Where the police hassle aborigines for the crime of being black.  Where corruption is endemic.  It's something like the redneck southern USA so don't expect the gene pool to throw up too many geniuses.

Dude, you must be having a laugh - Seo was pathetic with Elrich's card in the last match. Admittedly, Aloisi gave him a fair nudge in the first match, but that dive he did when Elrich got sent was a shocker!

Actually, the first two seasons of the Kingz missed the playoffs in the last match of the season.  If we equal or better that I'll be stoked.

To be honest mate, most of couldn't really give a rats about you guys, but for some reason your lot have developed this mentalilty that we are the sworn enemy which is great, makes for more fun at matches and on spots like here.. But yes the odd sheep joke still exists but hey what can you do??

Well bring on Friday night, our boys are pumped as you team is no doubt after a win last week...Unfortunately there has to be a loser which aint going to be us!!!! We'll be top of the league (for at least a few hours), in the pole position to overtake the Mariners and secure the league title, heading to the finals and hopefully the league/championship double...

Haha, pole position!

I tried reading the roar forums a couple of weeks ago, but the combination of epileptic fit inducing vomit orange colour scheme, as well as the reality challenged, polarized perspective, literary degenerative ramblings just about drove me crazy.

If I am going to go crazy I would rather do so while discussing the Phoenix.

Totally agree, he may have copped a slight elbow at chest height, but there is no needs to do a backward suicide flip holding your face. Sick t*sser

interesting, Tim Brown and Ross (if fit) must have a few views on the squad

still the winning team adage might help take some of the edge off their disappointment

Hmmmm interesting. I'm really glad he's stuck with Lia and Ferrante in the middle and Lochhead out wide (rather than as part of the back 3).

I don't like the fact that Old is starting and that we can't find room for Daniel in the first XI, we really miss his creativity and occasionally brilliant set pieces. I really do think 442 is the way forward, but maybe we will have to wait until next season when some proper right backs and speedier wingers can be signed.

IOt said the same squad, not nec the same starting line-up. Johnno to start for Elrich I reckon. Give our marquee player a kick up the backside by benching him.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

I reckon Elrich was good against Perth though. Don't reckon Johnno would do better.

Just wondering...who replaced Coveny as captain v. Perth after he got subbed off? Daniel came on for him but he can't speak English so mustn't have taken the armband.

Johnson.

It was against the Galaxy that we had no captain. Ross, Brown, Covney and Johnson were all off, and Covney took the armband with him. Our calls of "give it to Costa" were left unheeded.
