The one thing I am critical of in regards to the club ownership/management or whatever, is that we currently have a bunch of non-contracted youth internationals and other promising players that have been left to be picked off by other clubs

Normally the Australian clubs would have their heads inserted so far up their own arses that they wouldn't be interested in our youth. But if our boys keep coming up with good results this week, this will all change.

Leaving it all to one person (Rudan, then Talay) to eventually make up their mind on them is irresponsible.

It should be obvious to the club that you secure your young players and that it's normal say to any coach, "due to their long term importance, these are the players we've retained, you have no say in this"

It definitely has a squad filler vibe to it. I presume Ufuk knows him from his time with Aussie age-group teams, and maybe rates him. Guess we'll see.

there's not that many more left to go, can't see Rudan taking Doyle, possibly Williams and/or Durante.

It might be considered blasphemy to say so, but from reading his Twitter feed, it looks like Ifill is bang alongside Rudan's plan to strip the Nix for parts - like he thinks we deserve it or something.

I'd hazard a guess that both Williams and Dura are WU targets.

If you look at it dispassionately they'd be mad not to target Williams.

Ifill also tweeted that he knows nothing just what he's read on the internet.

I've heard (read) Dura is gone from multiple sources - hence my tweet that prompted his response. Hope it's wrong but won't be shocked if not.

Would not be surprised to see Dura go - Talay is going to have his work cut out for him.

I can see it from Dura's point of view. WU might offer him a 1 year playing and then a back-office role. Given that WU is likely to be around for a few years yet then it's a bird in the hand. 

Nix don't have those assurances yet. 

Still hope he stays though. Both as a player and as a potential administrator of the club.

I'm sure that the club would love to sign McCowatt, but that's not just a simple conversation about $$$.

Can someone fill me in on the beef (if any) between Declan Edge and The Nix? I'm out of the loop, could just be pulling something out of my ass  but I think I've heard it existed. 

I think there's a beef with Edge and most of NZ football.

Seems like it. Seems quite an eccentric guy but heck he’s getting results. 

Edge thinks he is gods gift to football in nz and expects everyone to follow him, nix dont fit into his version of football utopia.

Tratt released from Sydney would be a very good pickup if he wants to try being away from family again
