I hope a 15k plus to rock up to the ROF tomorrow

I don't think this match has really been hyped all that much? This is the biggest match in Phoenix history surely, but I've heard nothing really said to that effect? Not unless I actually go looking for the stories on Stuff or whatever that is.

Anyhow, my new flatmates are coming along for the first time so that's 2 more than normal! 8502 is therefore my prediction!

I hope that we can get to 10k, but I'd be (pleasantly) surprised if 15,000 show up.

my parents and my mates parents are going and they don't go to football and they are going over the other sport which will be on tv which they have followed for all their lives, apparently the rugby is boring now.

You need to change your media habits then.  Plenty of coverage on Radio Sport and TV3.

The club are dark on TV1 for telling them its not a big deal and doing f all

True dat! Super 14 is meant to be the premier competition but to me it just seems like the same old players? Hurricanes pretty much = Wellington Lions in a (slightly) different strip

I've got a Tee-Shirt I'd like one A. Elrich to sign.
The got pie? one? That would be magic to get him to sign. If you're going to do it,i want to be there!

Fold it over so it just looks like a shirt.

I remember a few years back, The Crowd Goes Wild got Tana Umaga and Brian O'Driscal (?) to sign a civil union after the big fall out over that tackle in the Lions series in 2005. Classic stuff.
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

There was someone way back that said because this was Laurie M's last game he would not give a **** about the result.
He is staying with the club as a coach in other areas and I can tell you that anyone in his position will want to leave on a high, so your comment was brain-dead.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

I actually sing this to myself quite a lot going to/from work. Although I have Paston in for Reddy.

What i would like to hear and join in is if we win and get 4th spot:

"There's only one Richie Herbert, one Richie Herbert
Walking along, singing a song,
Walking in a Phoenix wonderland"

(There were variations on this posted very early on in the season)

I think we need to acknowledge our gaffer given some of the stick he has got early in the season.

Gaffer?
Richie?

He's the coach, and his name is Ricki.

Phoenix are three years old. Why then do I get so *&^*&^* nervous before matches? I mean I have supported Stop Out for forty years an dI don't get this... I think I just answered my own question.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Good smattering of YF and nix shirts on show around town.  I think I saw some of the CCM in Lambton Quay - they looked really young (either that or a teenaged school boy group of supporters were over).

CCM, quite possibly a family.
Check: Did they all look the same? Did they have extra bits like fingers, toes etc.
Shopping for banjo's and dungarees or did they bring them?
Gosford, where the stadium head count is always higher than the turnstile count.

And yet you'll get the pitchfork out and defend Palmerston North to the death...

Very young.  Take Andrew Clark (35) out and the average age of the travelling squad is 21.

, Gosford, its a whole other world.
Palmy, Hamilton, even Invercargill, where ever. Just don't think its a good idea to bag a town the nix are playing and promoting themselves in. Thats all.

We're sitting around triple the sales now. I accidentally referred to yesterdays number, todays is significantly higher again.

And no the free kids isn't a huge influence on this number, been told no more kids tickets sold than normal.

The crowd size now probably comes down to whether this rain will have an effect on the walk up crowd.

Fuck this stupid game
