And they aren't even decent crosses!  They are pussy little dinks! Eat and drink for any centre backs!

This is so dispiriting that I'm wrapping the christmas presents.

Why don't we attempt - at least attempt - to play it on the ground instead of endless hopeful crosses into an area where no one can decently head the ball anyway.

shit team with shit players. we have no choice

Early angst: I'm sorry but it must be down to poor coaching, why persist with all of these crosses when we obviously don't have the players to convert. If the players aren't listening to the coach - that is also poor coaching.

Ill take the draw,  couldnt see us getting a point once CCM had scored.   I like Totori he makes things happen

What is wrong with you whiners? You came prepared for NIX SUCKS and you continued seeing it when it wasn't there. You really thought "losing to the bottom-placed team" was as bad as a performance where we drew with the league leaders?

I thought the Nix played great today, apart from that awful muck-up which gave CCM their goal. Boyd and Fenton showed their worth, Totori silenced the doubters, and Leo showed flashes of his own form. If I were Matt Ryan I would hang my head in shame. The Nix are at least TRYING to do that whole "total football, run the ball out of defence" stuff. True, the goal-scoring magic ain't there yet. But I see a base for expansion.

Oh, and bringbacksmeltz? On behalf of all ladies footballers, a hearty "screw you" for your sexist little comment.

Actually got excited in the last 5 minutes. I'll take the point but nothing can change the fact that it was a lucky goal.

Permalink Permalink

Totori should start.  Only player who is willing to run at the defence and try things.  Also knows how to cross the ball.  A point isnt a bad result vs CCM but wouldve been nice to get a win.  oh well, until next week,

So was CCM's.

I wonder whether the START TOTORI mob here can get into a fight with the SACK TOTORI mob.

Believe it or not, there's a reason why he's on the bench, not just Ricki being an idiot, Totori is an impact player best used against tired legs, if he started he'd run around for 15 minutes then tire and be played out of the game, I think he's best used in a 25 minute burst off the bench

I didn't come prepared for 'Nix sucks' but watching us pursue those obviously ineffective tactics was like bashing your head repeatedly against a brick wall and claiming you enjoy it. I can't fault the good intentions of the players and the team - they are all trying their hardest  - but we clearly don't have the ability at the front end of the park for the hopeful-lob-cross-to-the-far-post strategy to work.

BUT....onward and hopefully upward. We desperately, desperately needed something out of this game today.

Agree.  I'm not his number one fan but I have to admit he was impressive today.  I'm not sure he'd be so damaging if he started.  Keep him coming off the bench running at tired defenders.

Assuming we get the ball to the far post.  9 times out of 10 our crosses don't make it past the near post.

We played okay in the first 2/3. Top 1/3 was poor again. Crossing doesn't work if we allow them enough time to get 5 into the box. Run into the box, look for late runners. Edit: Low Pass Cross. Score.

You see it happen week-in-week-out in the EPL.

N.B not saying our league is as good etc but the tactics work.

Coulda been worse. Good to at least stop the rot. Snachez is back!
