Right.

Brace yourselves......

Drum roll.....

THE Prediction........

Reds 0 Phoenix 2

Ifill and Leo coming on form, Greenie getting better and better, generally starting to gel as a team- even Troy has started to pass to his team mates and not the opposition! Keep the formation from last game's second half Ricki, for crying out loud......

Their run has to end, and we are the boys to do it!

REMEMBER- I'm nearly always right!

Nostalgia isnt what it used to be...........

Play Vuko in goal and put Pasty up front to partner Greenie. No Pavlov, or Ward unless they promise to score or assist.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Have you seen how accurate Pasty is with his kicking?

Pasty's great with getting away with those sneaky fouls on the edge of the box to win possesion though...

To be absolutely sure Cboz needs to wear his lucky C-Diddy tash.

I think you'd find it hard to drop Ward for Pav. More likely to have Ifill up front with Greenie and Ward out wide.

Honestly, as much as I like Pav and loathe Ward's inconsistency, he still seems more likely to score than Pavlova

Hopefully Greenie has a good game again - I reckon that was the best game he's had in an attacking sense for us so far

I am UP for this game, and have a good feeling. This is precisely the type of game that we'd sneak a 1-0 win from. Time for Ifill to stand up.

I reckon it's about time for this seasons blowout scoreline, and with Adelaide the 'runaway leader' it's time to hand them a goal differential equaliser.

8-0 to the nix.

I reckon Ward is a good signing, he seems to have added plenty for me, and Im not sure why he was taken off on Sunday. Maybe its Brown causing the trouble , he seems off the pace to me.
Maybe its time for Ward and Lia in the middle, or even Ward and Muscat if its 4-4-2.

Yep. To get anything out of this game we are going to have to produce something we haven't managed all season: tight, disciplined, error-free football for the full 90 minutes.

Agree with the person who said Muscat/Lia and Ward in the midfield. God yes. Ward has been much more attacking than Brown, and Muscat is a workhorse. The only problem is we've been using Muscat on the left in Lochhead's absence. Daniel is clearly the best crosser in the team, rate him much more than Hearfield. I also cringe everytime I see Sigmund as a rightback, would like to see him and North switch. While he makes impressive saves and he's a favourite for most New Zealanders, Vukovic is better than Paston.

Ricki's likely team.....

                        Paston
Hearfield   Siggie   Dura   North
               Moosecat Lia
                         Ward
          Ifill                          Leo
                      Greenie

Bench: Pav, Brown, Daniel, Vuko

In reality, i'd like to see us be more attacking in this game, nothing to lose and try and take the game away from Adelaide early.

                    Paston
Siggie Dura   North Manny
                      Lia
     Bertos      Ward     Daniel
               Greenie Ifill

Bench: Hearfield, Brown, Pav, Vuko

I'd love to see the Greenie, Big Mac pairing back again now with Greenie hitting some form. I agree with Piney.

They would overun us with the second team and the midfield "talent" wouldnt get chance to be creative.

Adelaide United FC has been dealt a blow ahead of its match with the Wellington Phoenix tonight at Hindmarsh Stadium, with attacking midfielder Mathew Leckie a late with withdrawal due to a knee injury.

Leckie overextended his knee at training yesterday and after monitoring the injury this morning, the clubs medical staff and Head Coach Rini Coolen decided the 19 year old would not take his place against the Phoenix.

The match was set to be Leckies first game back since returning from the AFC U-19 Championships with the Qantas Young Socceroos, but Reds fans will have to wait another week to see him in action again.

Coolen expects the injury to only keep the young gun out for just one game and that he should be available for Uniteds next game against Melbourne Victory at Etihad Stadium next Friday night.

Argentinean playmaker Marcos Flores is expected to start against Wellington after overcoming a hamstring injury.

My feeling on this game is that we'll either pull off a shock win, or get absolutely leathered.
