Well done lads....that second half performance was our best for a long time. they dug deep and never gave up. In that heat away to the Roar thats a good point. Jeez if we can play like that for the full 90 minutes then we will do very well this year.

What about that cross from Daniel....low fast and curling in right onto Greenacre. top stuff

Did you see the half time dressing room.....cones out on the floor showing how to play second half....bloody worked.

Lia for ferrante next week.

As for Kruse.....can't wait to give him a warm welcome when the roar get to the ROF...f**ker!

Anyone have a link to our goal? My feed was crap and it paused just before and after the goal was shown, replays too. It was like god mocking me.

Great second half by the boys there! Great to see Daniel get in on the action and Greenacre = class.

Slow start, started to get back in to it in 2nd half of first half. Great second half - one of of best ever. Great goal - class cross and great finish.

I think Daniel played himself in to the starting line-up, helped by a very average game from Diego. I think Ferrante played himself out of the starting 11 with Lia to come in.

Very very happy with a point away to Brisbane.

Plenty to work on but we will only get better as confidence grows and combinations develop.

I think we have finally arrived as a team to be taken seriously in the A-League.

theres a noticible improvement shown in these 3 games in comparison to the last 2 seasons imo. finally feels like we have a team capable of challenging for the top 4, great all around performance today, still plenty to work on though. The fact bris lost the plot in the final 5-10 mins just shows how well we played, they were obviously expecting a win today and couldnt handle it when they got outplayed. bodes well for coming weeks (fingers crossed leos ok). I was surprised the lino didnt have a word after the kruse challenge he was right there. Oh well what goes round comes round.

Many more options in attack with the new signings, fantastic work in the second half.

bloody kruse. fuk I dont beleive he didnt get red. most mililcious tackle ever! will the FFA have a secnd look at that and perhaps suspend him?

hope bertos is alright. good goal by greenacre.

as far as i know, because the ref booked him the FFA can't do anything (a bit like the nutcracker incident)

Best the Nix have played, happy with a point, we were unlucky not to get all 3.  If we play like that every week we will be one of the better teams.  Well done the boys.

those Roar jokers are hot-headed pr**ks. We need to boo Kruse off the park in January, not only because he almost broke Bertos' leg off, but also because he has a big head and a bad hairdo.

Greenacre has a great work ethic, nice goal diving backwards, nice assist from Daniel.

Good result, good composure in 2nd half when things were getting heated.

Need to switch on earlier so as to not let in early goals.
Agree ....Kruse is such a w...ker, should have been a straight red....great result but we should have probably won the match on the chances we had. All guys played well and on this performance things will only get better.

I am impressed. A typical poor start, but showed great determination in coming back. Great to see brissy meltdown in the final 15 mins or so.

Season is looking up

So frustrated we didn't take all 3 points in the end, but I would've taken the draw at the start. Totally dominated them from about the 30th minute of the game right through to the end and deserved a win. Great goal as well - the message being that if we can create more chances for Greenacre, he'll bury them.

Negatives for me were Durante at the first goal, he could've stuck a leg out and stopped the cross for my money.

Diego was very poor I thought, and Ferrante was not great again missing an absolute sitter in the process. I think Daniel and Lia made a difference when they came on, and I would be tempted to swap that pair for the next game.

As I say though, happy with the draw, it's just a pity we couldn't have taken the full 3 points that our total domination deserved.

9th of Jan the raw come here... thats heaps of time to build up some real hatred...

best we have played in ages...

but the real question is : how on earth did the 4th official give 4 minutes for added time when the nix had a chance of winning against 10 players... did he miss that memo bout that scenario?

Great fightback in the second half. Well done Phoenix!

Kruse needs an uppercut. Bertos better not be injured.

Lia in for Ferrante next week is a must, and as long as we start and finish the match on the same tempo as that second half we should be sweet.
Great finish from Greenacre, diving backwards on to a brilliant ball from Daniel.
Death threats for Kruse would be great, hope SuperLeo is all good, if the other players can utilise the space he creates with 2 or 3 men on him we can find more of the room we need in the final third.
You know we belong together...

I used to think Miron Bleiberg was over the top, but Farina's reaction to the clear second yellow was amazing.  Then on top of that that litter douche Kruse comes in like a Kamikaze, unbelievable he didn't cop a straight red.

Wasn't it a Roar dude from South Korea who put on an Academy Award performance to get Ahmed Elrich sent off for a supposed phantom elbow when Elrich plodded along for us?

...

On the game, I have a good feeling about this unit.  I don't know, I feel the first couple of years for the 'Nix has been about getting free of the hook ups with the Knights.  Sort of like the Warriors in 2002, 2001 was about re-establishing themselves after their nightmares and 2002 they were free of all the failings of the past.  Wouldn't be at all surprised to see us go nicely up the ladder this season.  We appear far more balanced and stable rather than overly reliant on Smeltz.

They have two.  NE is the less used one, but I can't find the other one.

DON'T go being pests on there, unless you are just popping in to call Kruse a c**t.

stoked we managed to come away with 1 point, with the second half performance we really deserved to come away with more. Its a pity that some of our chances in the first half weren't taken. Can't wait for Brown to be back Ferrante has done nothing for us in two games except lose the ball in crucial places and go walkies for most of the game.

From Sportal:

[QUOTE]The game was played in front of a disappointing crowd of just 7,084 - the lowest ever at Suncorp Stadium and a staggering figure considering the fine weather in Brisbane on Sunday.

As opposed to Brown, who loses the ball in crucial places, goes walkies for most of the game AND hacks people down when not really needed. So yes, he does bring more to the table than Ferrante.

Up to 15th in a 10 team league...poor effort really...

And we need Perth to beat Noocastle to go to 4th.

Kruse will probably get something broken this season if he keeps playing like that... Daniels confidence must be on the way up after that performance. If only that ball fell to anyone but ferrante, I think it would've changed the tempo instantly. SOOOOOO Gutted we missed that bloody TAB taking my money!!!!!

from what iv seen this season - Lia>Brown>Ferrante

still undecided on where McKain squeezes in there, he has only impressed me in small portions
