Not really. We have won in Perth before. 1 out of 18 in Brisbane. Dear that is sh*t.

Must've been season 1 then because everytime I've seen us in Perth we've been murder and got hammered.

Correct it was. 1-0. Agree though with the point, we are terrible in Perth. Pretty terrible just away in general though!

Well that was disappointing.

Not to sure why Big Mac got taken off. He was our go forward and there was no use of big lofting boots up field and thought basically our Set piece was dead after that, Leo had a shocker and was basically playing with 10 players. Pav looked good at some stages and Ifill was very quite. Where was Toto??

The word is quiet not quite.

I agree about Big Mac.  I think this is the only game this season where he's impressed and that may be the reason he came off.

Tonight    Roar >>>>> Nix

Our midfield MIA again - Lia and Brown are just not in the game. I'm sure it's not through any lack of effort but for the second week in a row the game passed them by.

Put Manny back where he played last year.

Dura great game even though he was getting pulled out of position to cope with the Roar pouring through our "midfield".

Nice finish Kosta - too much gas for most of our boys.

Pavlovic - raw but a lot of potential.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

I doubt we've won a game.
we are never going to pass the ball much with that combination. Lia was terrible in possession and Brown plays in behind the strikers looking for scraps. We really could do with Elliottt!

Or at least someone who can hold the ball and is able to play a telling pass. Brown and Lia must've misplaced about 95% of their passes tonight, and the majority of our passes just seem to be out to the wide areas, then a cross if floated in, defender heads away. Complete lack of invention.

Somehow we seem to have a bit more invention at home, but that performance tonight I've seen so many times away from home now.

4 points from our first three games. Looking at our draw, I'd be mildly pleased with that before the season. Now, a bit disappointed. There is just something missing. In midfield. At the moment, we pretty much have none. Lia giving away far too much possesion. Heaps of longballs from defense to attack bypassing midfield. And Brown playing up the park more.
This is what I want to see:
4-3-3 with Muscat as a DM and Hearfield at RB. Greenacre or MacAllister up top. Ifill and Daniel on the flanks. Lia and Brown central midfield.simon_hampton2010-08-28 00:14:01

We need another midfielder or a decent rb so Muscat can go back in the mid

We are the Wimbledon Football Club of the A-League. Defenders pick it up. Midfield not even interested in receiving the ball. Hump it long. Big man tries to knock it down and we go from there.
Not saying that can't be effective - but the contrast between how we played and how Brisbane played was stark.

Oh G-d conversative old Rickki .. Toto will be our best player after Ifill later this season. Why was Troy brought on. Usual thing. First third of season finishes with club giving Rickki the word to play more positive, and then we play catchup. Boring.

All this bagging of the midfield - very hard for Brown and Lia when Leo is missing in action and Ifill is doing the fancy stuff at the other end ....

pav looked very promising

no toto - sack ricki - needed his pace and leo needs a kick in the but, so let toto scare the sh*t out of him
no daniel - sack ricki - the game was "cross it", and daniel's our best at that

thought we started to work our way into the game, but no plan B

Heard Ricki went off after ten minutes with the sh*ts.
Becki, a friends sisters budgie called the tactics from then on in.
Mac and Lia were both called off with a bowel movement, but Lia was thought to be just wind. Greenacre was yelling at Lia to sub himself off but got called off instead.

ahh that was a grind to watch. just didn't see much happening in the mid field. Was wondering why toto or daniel didn't come on and maybe get some play happening in the center field. probably woulda left us open and allowed them to score.. Ahh choices. Expected result was expected.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

It's almost like the same as the start of last season all over again. A 3-0 defeat next week and I'll think I've gone in a hot tub time machine.

Wow, just wow.  So terrible.  Ifill sucked so bad it was sore to watch.  Siggy had to be the best defender.  Durante made some good saves but the number of completely mess-ups he made negated his good work.

First 4 or so minutes of the game were horrid.  We just kicked it out, lost possession, failed time and time again.

Lochhead's first half was bad.  Lia's was terrible.  A few balls to nobody, a couple went straight out - nobody even near them, I don't know what he was trying to do.

BERTOS!  Why did he start?  He was average last week and Daniel would certainly be a better bet.  At least Ricki could have subbed Daniel on when he saw Bertos failing.

Ricki failed tonight like he failed in the Gold Coast game when he bought on Hearfield.  Not taking blame from players, though.  They were woeful.

That is a pretty accurate description after tonight game.

Well that was hard to watch. Midfield just not up to it, Lia distribution appalling but worked hard, Brown should be embarassed by that performance Greenacre had to do a lot of his work for him, Bertos to be honest may as well not have been playing for all the good he did and Ifill nowhere near his best.

Bit surprised by subs as thought Mac and Greenacre were doing ok off scraps, needed an injection into midfield and staggered Daniel not brought on.

Well done Paston top effort.

Got that off my chest lets hope for an improvement against Perth who have not looked too bad.

Basically our midfield consists of 2 players who are there to try and break up the opposition play...and that's it. I'm afraid we're going to need a bit more than that if we are to challenge for any title!

Wish we still had Caceres. Loved him. Rated him highly. Is only playing in Western Australian League, still wondering why we released him.

he's had an awful lot of clubs.  for someone who has performed at A-League level in the past that would suggest an attitude problem to me

I too like him.
