Nothing on this game but got the sweaty palms. Hope we don't try to protect the lead. A second goal may break their spirit considering how shite Heart's away record is.

A lot of what De Jong says makes sense, it's just THAT voice.......

Nothing that either say makes any sense  - they are crap, end of

Zero intelligent analysis - performance all down to changed attitude acc to de Jong - he's only saying this because he is incapable of looking at what the personnel/ positional changes have done

"I'll just end him up" was apparently stein's motivation for the foul at the end - nonsense, he mistimed the tackle

"Would've been easier to score" when he hit he far post

"Huysegems has been out of the squad" - on the bench yes

Slight improvement from them at half time admittedly

At the risk of being Debbie Downer, I'm not looking forward to the second half, for one reason and one reason only - our passes are hitting their target at about 70%, whereas for the Heart it's more like 90. The last time I saw something like this was against WSW. I am picking Heart to be much tougher in this half. If I were a betting woman, which I ain't, I'd be putting a sneaky tenner on a draw.

touches wood..nah.  Heart has poor second half record and hasnt really looked likely.

yep I agree,  the players look up for it, folk like Leo and Lochy actually playing some football. I hope we don't get the usual 2nd half slump.

Yes sir. I endorse your point. Bertos and Lochhead are looking like actual footballers.

By all means be a hater. I'm not a huge fan of either of them but De Jong has made some decent points on the way we're played and how we're set up. He hasn't once said that it's ALL down to attitude, he's said it's part of it, which it quite obviously is.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Are we in an alternate universe. Our football team, is playing football. And its football that is working. No dumb passes, not a lot of dumb crosses, aimless long balls. I have to ask, am I in Back to the Future 4?

Agreed.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

after watching that first half i must agree with dolores, that was much worse than when ricki was here :)

You really are a miserable person. We are dominating the game thus far. Why don't you enjoy it instead of wanting the status quo where we get our asses handed to us.
I guess sarcasm goes way over your head jeff. this was a huge improvement on the last 3 months despite some people comments after wednesdays game that things were even worse than under that other coach

Edit: just read your edit, apology accepted. Im loving watching this game

Yeah after I posted is I was like "Hmmm I think I fucked that up" Apologies to you sir for my complete and utter stupidity.

Define decent. He is A League quality and he is putting in a lot of work but we also have a boat load of front court players already.

One that gives us a good chance of keeping him in a Phoenix shirt

Now, you see, this is what I was worried about. The Heart have got their defence sorted out - they're getting about 7 or 8 people behind the ball when they're on defence, and we can only get about 4 attacking players up there. There's no way through the defence and we have to resort to hit-and-hope, like Iffy just did. As I say, the Heart can get right back in this if they can wear us out.

Disagree. The Heart have been extremely ordinary in the front half and we actually look organised at the back.

Sorry, Jag, but it doesn't matter if we play like Barcelona if the ball doesn't go in the net.

Nice to look at but requires a little more effort to complete the job...

+1 For someone that wants others to see the bright side of it all, you are being a doomsayer when we are playing well. I think all you actually want is the opportunity to be right but your opinion makes me question what you know about football. Why don't you try being positive. I'm doing it. BBS is doing it. (just waiting for Steve-O, has he posted?)

Yep I'll concede that. In comparison to the last 8 weeks though? I think you'd agree its actually nice to watch.

Even Dewhurst can see that we're faffing around with it far too long in the penalty area and letting the Jamtards get organised.

Hit and hope? He took it past two players on the edge of the box and made room for the shot. If it had been on target the keeper wouldn't have had a sniff. I'd hardly call it hit and hope. If we play with the same patience we did in the first half, the chances will come, Only one team looks like winning this at the moment and it's not the Heart
