HT 1-1 Fairly good relection of the game. Both sides have had good periods and chances. As Jeff and Nestling have said, the Nix are playing a more attractive style, and look good going forward, with the odd wobble at the back. Ifill, Greenacre, Bertos combining well, Diego popping up occasuinally. McKain throwing himself in to tackles all over the park.

tbh I don't think 1-1 is a genuine reflection. You guys have been all over them, and their goal came from a brain fart by everybody's favourite Melbourne reject.

"photo" or something? dunno what it is though

much better play then last week. soo good. ifill is amazing.  the back four are playing really well, Id love to see the position stats.

hopefully the second half is jst as good.

Who was it that made the off the line save for us from the corner? Looked like Diego but the commentators obviously had no idea.

Think it may have been Manny

Ifill running around looking for the ball. great to see.

 Siggy giving Sterjovski trouble.

good first half - creating so many more chances than last week.
Keep it up and 3 points should be ours.
Ifill looking good - good goal.

I think they had the first 10 mins, and the last ten, and we dominated the middle part. I think the team will be disappointed they're not in front though.wolfman2009-08-16 18:06:11

Four brain farts, four goals: if only we could tighten our cerebral sphincter....

The summaries have been pretty spot on. Manny is getting the run about so hopefully a half time adjustment is made.

Diego may not have much influence on the game but I do like that he is bringing more work ethic. I've been watching him and he is getting off his flank and playing some more in the middle giving us a quasi 3rd midfielder.

Interesting to see the dynamic change in the midfield. Last week Brown was putting the slipper in and McKain tried to distribute. With McKain being the brute this week, Ferrante needs to just sit off his shoulder and get the dregs and that appears to be working better. If McKain can't see someone to pass to he hits it 40 yards. If Ferrante can't find anyone, he runs with it. Giving us that extra danger in the middle of the pitch which we have lacked.

Just realised how terrible the conditions are. Passes are slowing up. Might need to put a bit more oomph into those passes boys

Does anyone else get a warm feeling that we've finally got two English imports who aren't aging, over glorified (I played at this level and that level) and can actually play football and look to deliver on that? Jeff Vader2009-08-16 18:20:26

Crowd 10000+. Well done given the weather.
My stream doesn't have a clock - how long until Ricki's usual 65min sub?

Couple of chances for Diego, including a point-blank header deflected over.

65th min right now

I wouldn't make any subs. No one on the bench would do better than the starting 11. They are all playing well I think.

Comedy defending by the Nix. Deflected wide, now off the bar again.
