Nix vs Waitak: YF Road Trip

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Fever are proposing a road trip to watch the Nix play Waitak in Auckland on November 15th.

We'll be hiring a van and driving up and the Fever will subsidise the cost to a degree.

There is even (I think) the Girlies World Cup Final on the day after which we might go and watch.

Plan:

Depart Friday afternoon after work (share driving).
Possibly stay in Taupo Friday night (to be discussed with final group).
Phoenix vs Waitak Saturday.
Young girls in small shorts Sunday.
Drive back Sunday evening.

We'll organise accommo, it being West Auckland probably somewhere like this:

Please register interest here, and we'll go from there.

Nah as long as you have parental permission (and they know what you're getting into) we'll look after you.

Hard News will be on the return trip and he's generally regarded as the sensible one.

Spots already filling so (for those of you who aren't able to email me directly) get your interest registered here asap.

I'll be up there for a stag and will be at the game on Sat, my understanding is there's a football luncheon on at Trusts Stadium pre-match so you may want to sort your numbers and approach Rex to buy a table or two.....?

I wouldn't think so clark... it's just a friendly and I suspect we and Waitakere will be missing players to the All Whites anyway... I think that is the weekend tagged for the Fiji match isn't it ?

I was going to fly up but would be happy to drive.
I have a license etc and am over 25 if you need someone to share driving.
Don't need accomodation on Sat night though.
Please PM me if I can have a spot.
thanks.

Its a shame but I will be flying up on Friday morning, staying 2 nights at Sky City while popping down on Friday night to the Vecta Arena to catch Def Leppard.  So all in all, I will see you guys at the game.  What time is it?

I plan to up for it, should be up somewhere close on the 15th so will definitely head to the game. It will be awesome if there is a half-decent Fever crowd there!

It will great having the Yellow Fever in Auckland. I spoke to Coxey when I was down watching the nix beat Sydney. He said he was looking forward to the trek north.Atmosphere that day fantastic and if you bring more of what we had the day when a few of you came to Auckland when Wellington played Waitakere in the NZFC final then Aucklanders will be in for a special day. The game against Fiji is on the 19th so it won't stop Ricky putting out a pretty much top side. With the likely hood of Waitakere playing Adelaide in Japan this will set a pretty good benchmark of what or players should expect. For the Wellington supporters whom don't know the stadium, where the game is being played just ask Coxey. Hie and the troop that came in May were right impressed.
Admission is only $10 for adults so there should be plenty left for beers. Don't tell anyone I said but the rugby club (inside the stadium) will be open will before the game so you can get cheap beers. Also if anyone we will be organising a hopefully  luncheon function starting about about 1pm. I'll keep you updated with more info shortly. If I can get some info regarding nearer the date how many Yellow Fever coming I can get a section blocked off (no extra charge!!!) We also have a fun golf day on the friday if anyone interested. All this to help fund our trip to Japan. Want to thank Ricky, Tony and Terry for making this day possible.
Waitakere are magic. Bring it on.

Right.  Due to a variety of technical difficulties the bus trip is CANCELLED.

HOWEVER, at least Feverish, News, Coxey, myself and a few others are flying up (about 200 bucks return if you get on Qantas NOW).

So the Fever will be there!

So the only bus big enough to fit you lot in was a QANTAS Airbus 300A?

We can recommend the 7.30 Qantas on Sunday.

And we may also be able to offer lifts to/from the airport having just hooked up some vehicular arrangements.

Because there was no draw for TW when flights needed to be booked, nice try though Grey and Miserable One.
