Well done lads, spectacular. Smeltzy had better buck up in the next couple of weeks...

What a game. They've threatened from season one to do some one and today they came through and actually lived up to their potential. They know they can do  it and today they did.

Ricki was having an exchange of views with their assistant coach.

Brilliant atmosphere considering only 6,500+ and the players made the most of it. from Tim's cheeky walk-in to troys difficult angled goal and my hero Daniel chipping in with 2 goals.

6-0 is the equal top score in any A League match. No one has scored more than six.
Paston must have tried really hard to concentrate in the 2nd half considering all the action was down the other end. Ifill and Greenacre scored good goals, the club shop want to sell this DVD.

As a fan, i will be able to look back and say "I was there". I mean Gold Coast have shown to be a top  team and today, they got taught a serious lesson. ROF is one tough place to get any result at.

I'm so proud of the team and coaching staff.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

This game not only does great things for our standings on the League table, but also for the overall GD tally.

I don't think Smeltz stopped getting heckled until right at the end of the game, as you would expect.

I think everyone forgot how sh*t the ref was when we started scoring all the goals Ard Righ2009-10-25 20:02:11

not too sure what happened exactly, but Ricki was also having a go at the assistant coach at full time.

Biggest winning margin ever for the nix.
Worst defeat ever for Gold Coast.
Total domination all across the park.
Gold Coast still haven't scored a single goal against us.

SMELTZY SMELTZY WHAT'S THE SCORE?!

Like a lot of others was worried at half time being up only 1 nil after missing some clear chances (Ifill 1 on 1 in and minute) and crossbar

..starting to get the trust back : )

Long spells where it seemed the fever zone didn't know what to chant given the way things were going - FANTASTIC !!!

Nice reference to PAUL Greenacre

That article has some piss-poor editing, there are typos all over the place.

I know a lot of Phoenix fans that will be getting absolutely hammered tonight. Come to think of it, I got some beer here. I can't wait to watch the replay of the game to get the different angle of things. Total football by the total Phoenix players.

Once we started controlling the 2nd half, I couldn't stop laughing.

I was texting people as we extended our lead, but couldn't text fast enough. There was a spell today that every time i pressed 'send' - we scored another.

Second games against GC and Smeltz clearly played out of the game.

the aussi commentators at the sydney v brisbane game just mentioned out 6-0 thrashing of gold-toast and they cant even believe it! lol...2-1 with 20 minutes to go with sydney leading. so looks like we'll stay 7th on the table for now.

As we used to say in England, that was a knob out moment.  THAT's why we follow this team - now go on from there boys.
