This morning's print edition of the Dom Post is reporting that Terry is suing the NBR for demation.
Publishers Barry Coleman and Fourth Estate Holdings, and journalist Matt Nippert, all named as defendants.

Nippert obviously interpreted the comment "the DomPost job on him has been unique in NZ hatget (sic) jobs" as some kind of challenge, since November he and his employers have been almost rabid in their pursuit of Terry.

Since I am the only poster here whom Nipples has called out by name, he is no doubt after me personally.
But no, seriously, I bet what will happen is that Terry will drop the case upon the NBR announcing that Nipples has been given a slap on the wrist with a wet bus ticket. Unless Nipples has evidence that some other iceberg is coming the Nix's way, in which case the NBR might try to bluff it out.

I would agree with you if Nipples was a bit more professional and was obviously reporting on the story in a fair and unbiased way. He isn't, however, as his Twitter posts clearly demonstrate. In fact, he probably regards being sued by Terry as some kind of badge of honour.
Most likely this is just an attempt by Terry to try and get the NBR to back-off a bit. Will probably be settled out of court, with all sides claiming to be "vindicated".
Will be an interesting one to watch though. Bob Jones did sue successfully for defamation last year, although he didn't get nearly as much as he wanted. In that case the jury found that "articles [by investment advisor Chris Lee] on his website and various other publications were motivated by ill-will towards Sir Robert".

I'm not sure if it's the kind of support Terry wants but he's got a new fan club at the Stand By Hubbard Facebook page! Maybe the Phoenix should play a pre-season game in Timaru?
We fully understand why Mr Serepisos is suing Matt Nippert and the NBR - and we sincerely hope he wins against them - for the sake of everyone who has ever been a victim of Matt Nippert's appalling ignorance and lack of concern for the devastating consequences his personal bias and self-serving agenda have had in the lives of real people like Allan Hubbard and his investors.
