Yeah, as a whiner myself I'm willing to admit that WelNix are damned if they do/damned if they don't update about the negotiations. In fact the only thing that will stop me whining about the lack of a license is getting a fudgeing license.

It has been TWO YEARS since the other clubs got their license extended. We have been waiting 24 months to hear about ours and here we are with less than 3 months of this season and our license to go and we still don't have a new one. That whole time we have been told that negotiations are going well and the license is just around the corner (except odf course for that little blip from the FFA which started the save the Nix campaign, what, 4 months ago now?) Its a fudgeing disgrace that it has taken this long and we have ended up in this situation. I know it's the FFA's fault but that doesn't make me any less pissed off at another day/week/month/year passing without us getting that extension.

Let us whiners have a whine.

Yep everything they do and everything they say is wrong without doubt the most hopeless football administration in the world... they are in control of the Asian conf [they just won't admit it] and all the things they required were and are of no use and clearly designed to hurt both the league and NZ Football...

Nothing they asked for makes any sense ... and NZF and the Nix's are totally blameless and are being forced by the evil FFA into improper arrangements... 

Makes your blood boil how innocent and taken advantage of are NZF and the Nix and how the improper, inept, corrupt, out of touch, and hopeless FFA are running the show and screwing NZF and the Nix...

At one point the ffa didn't seem to be behaving particularly fairly. however things seem to have improved with them being less antagonistic, perhaps it's because of the change of board, perhaps it's because the other options fell through.

Ideally 10+ years some long term investment from WelNix, Sponsors, NZF and Sky.

It's going to be a strange sensation getting good news.

The fact that the Phoenix tweeted it with #savethenix is a good omen, unless they were being ironic, in which case they are cruel.

I know they say an update, but it has to be the license doesn't it? Dome has just given an update on the progress of it a few days ago so it would seem a waste of energy saying that the license negotiations are ongoing, because we know that. It's got to be a yay or a nay.

It could be a Yeah Nah

Not holding my breath for anything overly positive.

Best case scenario: 3-4 year extension with huge 'metrics' caveats. FFA will kick us out at the end of those 3-4 years anyway.

Worst case scenario: We don't have a club next year.

Apologies for the pessimism.

We have a club, stuff is saying it's either 6+2+2 or 4+3+3

I'll take either formation as long as Roly stays back and Powell is allowed to roam freely

I know we play attractive football now days but I'd prefer a 10-0-0 in this instance.

FFA are an unpredictably stupid organisation. Who knows.
