Was told at the family day that the Nix shop would open in a couple of weeks.  So probably shirts will have sponsors by that time.

RYOS still have sponsorless shirts...

Would be nice money to have but....

NORTH Queensland Fury FC will receive a $500,000-a-year boost when Queensland Nickel officially signs on as the A-League club's major sponsor this week.

The Yabulu-based refinery, recently acquired by billionaire Clive Palmer, is set to sign a multi-season deal with the brand on the Fury's jersey on Saturday night for the club's opening match, against Sydney FC.

Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers have the same primary sponsor, so I suppose it's not unprecedented. Still weird though.

She is hot. Of course - chicks love money.

QUEENSLAND'S richest man Clive Palmer yesterday splashed out on a present for his wife Anna - a sleek and speedy sports boat.

The iron ore magnate spent $330,000 for the 14.63m Sunseeker Superhawk 48.

But even a billionaire enjoys a bargain and Mr Palmer picked up the boat for about a third of its true value at Australia's biggest marine auction, held in Brisbane.

"It's a present for my wife's birthday this week," the 55-year-old said. "I hope she is pleased with it."

Two sponsors may be fine, but when a sponsor is also an owner of an opposition club?

Chicken fillet?

Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki, Pork Riblet, Meatball.  They're all good except vegetarian and seafood.

Basically the rules are that owner of two clubs cannot have both of their clubs playing in the same league. If one is promoted or relegated, then the owner has to sell up one of them, usually the price of the club would be bargain and so in practice it is not ideal. However the common practice is that owners have their clubs in different leagues and forming a working relationship between the clubs.

Also ownership (or shareholding) is different to business sponsorship. A owner (or shareholder) has maybe able to have say about the overall managing of the club whereas a sponsor can only ask about the money returns and where his money goes but not on players, coaching or management and such like.
