Yeah he was a youngish sort of fella. Three Police in the car to keep him company though.

Oh and a link for Mr Collina whom I have referred to is   Link

FFA or Referee's Association, someone for God's sake bring him in on a contract to sort things out - NOW!

Everyone played pretty crap for 75 mins until the end. The Perth goal was right in the middle. It had a bit of curve(and dip?) but still think Crowther should have managed it.

Last 10 min were good and we should have won 2-1.

Lia was suprb in first half, one of the best I've seen him play. Passing was excellent and beat a few players. Second half not so good

Deserved a point I think although we're lucky to walk away with 1 considering the crossbar saving us at the end.

Bollox - He was a plank. I don't mind inconsistancies if they are for both sides but 21 for Perth was all over Durante for most of today and nothing was done about it, there was another Perth player who was giving it to Daniel and nothing was done. There was a lot of off the ball stuff going on and he ignored far too much of it. Today that referee copped a dose from the crowd and deservidly so. He was not playing both ways. Hopefully it'll be his last game.

How come the Nix seem to get the referees who are making their debuts? Why can't they be given to Sydney or to Melbourne?

Why don't the FFA employ former world number 1 rated referee - Mr Collina - to come down and train and work with the referees to improve their standard. Colin Todd summed it up last week when he saidf the A League was excellent and the refereees were very poor.

I am very embarrassed to say this but I started venting at the ref for the foul on the nix that he allowed the advantage which then resulted in the play to create the equaliser.

haha good call tigers. watching on tv, i don't know how many times lia needed to be fouled to get those perth guys yellow carded. awful reffing, but to be fair, even with a decent ref, we didn't look sharp enough for the first 80 minutes to do any damage

Fowling Phoenix players is permissable and I would be very reluctant to give you a yellow card, preferrably Daniel or better still Captain Durante and if you cant nail them, try that fella Ifill. Time wasting is allowed, you can do it three times and not receive a yellow card. Tackles from behind are permmisable. You can kick the ball away without punishment, unless you're a Phoenix player.

don't think the ref was that inconsistent - he just missed every push from behind, every hip in, and every hold or body check off the ball, all game

and he was liberal with his interpretation of "careless, reckless or using excessive force" - the tackle on ifill (pick either reckless or careless IMHO) the obvious example

just it was Perth doing most of the agressive stuff

anytime some-one got a foot in and a player went down, he was calling it, and that was more our style lol

bit unlucky not to take this one, and the ref not calling the over physical stuff didn't help, Glory making the most of what he didn't call

winge bleat moan still at 6th and a great last 10 mins or so go the nix, meantime go go go the AWs.  paston and mcglinchy OK?

Bloody yellow cards (one each) for having a shot after the offside flag and whistle. They were marginal infractions and I'm not sure Ifill even knew he was called back until just before he swung. That law was for when there was one ball surely. Let the player exert their own energy by hoofing it, there another two/three balls only a ballboy throw away. It's not like it's Centannial Park and you have to go get it down the street Royal2009-11-08 22:06:22

Thought that Perth came here and played quite attacking from the start. We were sloppy until we went behind.

If only we had managed to take the last 20 mins performance levels into the rest of the game then Perth would have been long out of site.  It just wasn't happening for most of the game, seemed to have forgotten how to play football, as soon as we remembered that we like the ball to feet at pace we were all over them!  First half, way too many aimless punts forward...

Mind you thought Perth did very well closing down our players and closing out the space we have had to play in the last 2 home games, perhaps the 3 subs and fresh legs against a tiring hard working team started to show in the last 20 mins?

Thought Lia was pick of the bunch first half, only one who seemed to be able to pass a ball to someone in the same coloured shirt, better game for Manny who I thought did play well, and Leo, Troy and Caceres added a lot of impetus for us when they came on and changed the game.

Glad to get a point, could have had all 3 if we had woken up a bit earlier though...

Agree that Brown seemed somewhat invisible for a lot of the game.

This has been mentioned a few times before.
I saw Tim Brown walk on the park at the start of the game, and again at half time. Apart from the last 10 min. he was -- hiding-- again.
This guy is not good enough for the Nix, nevermind the AW's. He is just not good enough?

+1. Lets sign Simon Elliot, after he has trained with the nix and won at the ring of fire in front of a full house he'll be tempted.
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

The amount of atmosphere you blokes creaate in that stadium is second to none. i do NOT miss a Phoenix home game ever( on tv ). 6 thousand people is a little bit dissapointing though. Im just wondering, where did all the rest of your supporters piss off too? i remember one game vs Victory u cracked 14k. Back in 07 i think.

Im from Adelaide btw

There seemed to be a bit more than 6k in tonights game. A few people think more along the lines of 8k were in attendance tonight. Dont know about how the stadium get their figure, but it seemed wrong

It's a pity because if the crowds are being underestimated, for whatever reason, then it gives ammunition to the naysayers."You see, they're winning, it's a nice day out and they're still getting crap crowds".

Also, although it probably barely counts, with the Nix's status still undecided it's important for us to show the club in the best light possible. Perhaps the figure was accurate, I don't know, but Tony P didn't seem to think so.

Still very poor. Last two home games 6-0 and 3-0, cracking weather and we've got Ifill!!
What more would the public want? If they couldn't come out today, they ain't coming

I thought the figure of 4000 odd for the midweek game sounded high considering it was quite a sparse crowd, looked like there was another few thousand on top of that in again today, so though the 6000+ figure sounded about right.

Surely all they do is count tickets sold and passes used to give the overall attendance figures?

Who the hell was that cock on aisle 20, row C, seat 70-ish wearing the white shirt??

All I heard from him was "Oh man Leo you f***ing sh*t", "Oh Perth your a f***ing sh*t"

F this, F that for the whole game.

Watch your mouth young man, and pick a god damn team to support, just make your mind up.

definitly looked like more than 6k on telly. could have won that game if we had just got on the end of one of the countless crosses/corners we had that were cleared with ease, but the point seemed fair enough Downey262009-11-09 06:04:31

How many of the fever still subscribe to the wearing of same clothes theory? Luckily the weather has been good so the clothing I worse on wednesday is good to go for today. Incidentally, the outfit is the same from gcu down to the socks.I've worn the same shoes jeans shirt headphones and scarf for every home game this season, and things aren't going too badly

Why did we draw today Referee no  Played ordinary no
Against Gold Coast they played Killers song Human twice once before the game started and again half time
Result 6 goals
Against Newcastle they played it once half time Result 3 goals
Against Perth nothing result same old same old draw
Can some one make sure especially next week have it played at every game twice

He probably won't like it, but I say keep Caceres on the bench as an impact player. Last time he played 90 minutes he was sh*t if I remember correctly. Would love to be proved wrong though.
