For those that went to Civic Square.  Just what did John Key say???

Speaking at the parade's end, Prime Minister John Key saluted the All Whites' efforts in getting to the World Cup and their unprecedented success at the tournament.

"You made every New Zealander be incredibly proud of your performance in South Africa, and it's great to have you here and to celebrate your success."

Key said he was grateful for the opportunity to get to know the players while he was in South Africa.

"This is the most humble bunch of guys you will ever meet. They play as a team, they care about each other, they support each other through thick and thin, and they don't have an ego amongst any of them," he said.

"On behalf of the people of New Zealand, thank you for putting us on the international stage, making us rub our eyes at two in the morning as we watched those TV sets and going 'way to go All Whites, you're the champs'."

or what HN said!

I was there. Have some Pics I'll upload tonight... Looking forward to Friday Night back at our RoF!!!

Just asking, but would a loss count against our record at home?

No I don't think so. We lost to LA Galaxy and I don't think that counts does it?

Unfortunately PAX only satisfies for a short time and the more you get the more you need.  I'm already in need of another fix.

If the game was heading for 25k I'd be worried but I reckon we'll have 15 or so and those numbers don't usually see the zone sold out.

Earlier in the week there was talk of a Boca-Phoenix scarf.  After that I know there was also confirmation that there would be no Boca merchandise, but does that include the combination scarf too?

That's a shame.

On a tangent, did Andy Barron stick around to sign stuff after the parade today?  I got nine All Whites to sign my kids' poster (okay, my poster) but not Mr Barron.  Ironic because I work in the same building as him.  Time to stake out the foyer.

Anyone going to be tweeting for the match?

Don't think http://twitter.com/bocajuniors will be adding a translation option anytime soon ha!

Good effort though on having 2,969 followers for only 10 tweets...

Shirts off if it's even after 5 minutes
I like tautologies because I like them.

while we are on the matter of shirts off, I think impt to return to protocol after World Cup divergence. must be up with 10 to play.

(I understood and thought perfectly acceptable in exceptional circumstances to take shirts off against Italy - but boycotted the Paraguay shirts off bc we were definitely not "winning" that game)
