Yeah Lochead basically kicked the ball over the sideline on 3 occassions in about a 10 min period. As a full back, those are not the sort of passing stats you are looking for. i dont mind a player putting the ball back in a tackle, but all 3 times were just poor pass selection/direction.

Have become more and more dissapointed with Locheads progress over the last couple of years from his earlier potential. Well I think Tommy Smith plays left back, so you think that would push Lochead to lift his performances.

If we build it, they will come...

yes, he's been very good. I really think we could take this match if we keep our heads.

some great saves from Reddy, but his ball distribution seems a bit inconsistent at times

Lochead normally has good ability at keeping possession, he's always lacked the ability though to take on his man. Today he can not do both!

Hogg is New Zealands future left back and Smith its centre i'd be picking.

News... Hogg was immense at the fifa world cup and has always stood out in the age group comps.

Why not.. i've heard his old man is a bit of an arse and causes problems, but, if we judge him on the pitch alone, he looks a great prospect.

Stop bagging Lochhead this instant! He had a great block to deny the Mariners a goal and his few mistakes have not been costly s forget it. He will improve in the second half.

Oh My God. What a miss.

Actually think Simon might have been unlucky to get that yellow. Oh well, he deserved it for the miss really.

very soft yellow. he tried to jump over McKain.

Under 10's with McKain taking the goal kick. We better push for a second, 1 will not be enough with Mariners scoring potential. 5kux2009-12-31 21:15:04

Jings, wish they didn't have unmarked guys in the box when we are 1-0 up. Not saying to go defensive, but really...

Jimmy has been a twit for as long as I've know him. If he acted more like an adult, his boy Stu would have a better career. I think he is the better footballer anyway, just that junior is fitter.

Simon unlucky on the yellow.

Vader, did you watch the fifa club champs, or the olympic campaign??

He stood out, the reporters here in the middle east spoke about him and coombs, commentators had big rapts for him etc etc.

Big future, unless preconceived  prejudice, e.g. yours.. ( i assume this as it can't be based on his recent performances) hold him back perhaps.
