Any word on Jeremy Broclie for the Fury...??

He's been named in a 17-man squad for this game (two to be omitted), so could make the bench.....

Awsome, would love to see him get some game time soon. Fingers crossed he gets a run this weekend and has lots of shots but doesnt get any in

He's starting.
Sauce?

Awsome, would be great if he could retain a starting place, he must be thrilled to play alongside fowler

Hope Brockie plays horrible but manages to stay in the team and has a blinder next week.

Evertone should check out the odds on this game. Phoenix paying 3.20. draw 3.00 NQF 2.30
Cheeky ten on Phoenix to more then tripple your money looks good atm. Im predicting an end to the goal drought. We will finally put away half of our chances and cream them 3-0

The 15 man squad has a look of containment rather than attack about it...not many options if Daniel  Leo and Ifill dont/cant deliver or fade. Will watch Chen with bated breath...

?
We are playing our 3+1 forward, and then have a centre mid, a right wing/right wing back and a forward up front.

I guess if you focus on us being defensive enough anything can look containing.

My comments  were a reflection of the absencea bench that has Manny and Ferrante on it..albeit one that includes Chen.  Time will tell I guess...

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

Our bench has been very attacking the last few weeks and it hasn't exactly helped.

Why is Ferrante persisted with? I would rather have Mulligan than him. At least its home grown lack of performance. Ferrante had that horrific game against Melbourne last year, and hasn't shown that much since.

Don't think Costa has done too much wrong so he is unlucky. It's a shame our search for some drive in the midfield has not worked so far.

Caceres would be there but is injured. Surely Marco is a better impact player than Ferrante, if Costa is not going to be considered? I guess Hearfield is the sleeper there. If Manny is on the bench he will come on and Hearfield may be pushed forward for bertos or Daniel...providing he's fit enough..

At the moment our attacking plan seems to be to pass it to Ifill, like a tactic with Jonah Lomu. hope to see some cohesion and a swag this game!

Apparently Robbie Middleby is out for tonight also, they havent been able to get any injury replacements from overseas  for this week, maybe hey will for next week, so defensively they are at a real low, and if we cant get a result tonight, well....

would love to see Brockie have a blinder off the bench and skin Ferrante numerous times. But just create loads of chances that everyone else screws up. And if he comes off the bench then he can still show some impact.

Who were the 5+ lads dressed up as Phoenix players at the end of term tea party (at UC) yesterday? Big ups. It was one hell of a morning/afternoon!

Not me.  Bugger $30 to see crap bands when you're still half asleep.

Just saw the line up on 'Matchday saturday'

Only change to the squad is Hearfield for Muscat. Chen on the bench and Brockie looks to be starting.

What was the team? I just missed it on Sky Sport just now but I did hear Hearfield at right back!! Not too sure about that one I have to say.

I would love to see Ferrante skin Brockie and create numerous chances which are finished... Oh wait! This is yellow fever - I forgot. We don't support our players!

can anyone shed any light on why the fury are ahead of phoenix in the odds? is it purely due to us not being able to finish our chances this year?

It doesn't change the fact that saying you want him to get out-played is ridiculous. I don't rate No one rates Mulligan but when he steps onto the field in a Wellington Phoenix uniform I want him to carve sh*t up.

Probably down to them being at home, and our away record being utter rubbish.

Right ladies, this is a big one.  I'm 'working' at the moment and will miss the first half so if anyone could keep me up to date on how we're doing it'd be more than appreciated.
