Has anyone got a voice left?? Man what an awesome game, plenty of noise from everywhere in the ground. i just wish they'd turn that friggen stadium music off permanently as I'd like to listen to the fans and saviour the atmosphere not get my ears blasted by an over loud boom box.

Proud to be a phoenix fan and the penalties were a nail biter. Reddy was again brilliant!

Yup agree with that...as did several others in aisle 22

Great night and loved the way Perth Glory applauded us after all the grief we gave them. They were great sports and good on the Perth fans who came to support them.

Except his headlock tackle was fairly dickish.

Great game, although if I was neutral I could probably admit that Perth had the better of the game, particularly in extra time.
Great atmosphere at the ground though. It was immense at the end. Can't wait for Noocastle!!!

Thats my concern. heres a link to a discussion.Near the end they talk about how tough it could be for the AW return back leaving only a day to recover before the game against Newcastle

Just like to say good on ya to the TWO Glory players who walked over to aisle 33 to acknowledge their fans - I know they were all keen to get out of there, but your fans had made a long trip - not so flash from the rest of them.

Well Stjerovski gave the FZ a bit of applause, I thought that was class. Last player I expected it from, frankly.

Oh, and  nix, you guys are amazing.  Thought Greenie was looking more involved today, ifill fairly heavily marked, Dadi held it up very well and won some crucial headers.

Siggie - good to see you back too!

WE'RE GOING BACK IN TWO WEEKS!!!

Edit - critical lemon - yes, saw that, good sport there too.  Ok, so three out of the squad are ok...

I watched the first 120 minutes. I was sure we were boned when McKain got the red. I couldn't watch the pennos, so I went out and asked my mate to text me the result. I could not freakin' believe it.

No-one has mentioned that, in extra time, Dadi was ON FIRE in the defence. He was leaping all over the place, filling the hole left by McKain, obviously making up for the last time we played Perth. Can Siggy plug the gap against the Jest?

I knew this game would be well tough from ages beforehand, but I have a much better feeling about what we can do against Newcastle. Some Glory boys were saying before the game "shut down Ifill and the Nix got nuthin'". Well, we proved that wrong in the megawatt range today. We can win when Ifill's shut down, we can win when we make dumb mistakes and give away soft goals, we can win down to 10 men, we can win a penalty shootout... we can win any day, any way, at the Ring of Fire.

Also, Mark Paston is officially dumped as my imaginary boyfriend in favour of Rocket Reddy. That match really was a duel of the goalkeepers, wasn't it? If not for the Perth goalie whose name I forget we would have won easy in 90 minutes.

OK, what's up with Sky coverage on TV? I had it set to record, and after the 90 minutes were up, it cut to f**king WINTER OLYMPICS HIGHLIGHTS???!!!!

Secondly, shoot the prick playing that bullsh*t music tonight. Should have played the regular songs for us to chant along to at the beginning of each half, and turn the volume down.

Third, ref was prick.

Awesome crowd at the game, full credit to the team for pulling out the win in penalties (I was hoping we'd avoid a repeat of that PSC loss to Melbourne on penalties)

Tickets on sale tomorrow? My credit card is NOT going to like me :(

Not sure if this is being a bit cynical but while taking in the glorious sight of 24k+ filling up the RoF and making it a real cauldron of fire, I thought to myself that there was a cack load of YF Ts and nix gear on show.

Either RYOS an the nix store had a huge run on gear over the last week or there were a lot of people from previous years turning up very late in this season.

Still, very nice to see and as Ricki said afterwards, we want more than 24k next game.
