the  ticketek site insists on offering me tickets in aisle 22 -  why?????? -- our seats are in 33 and I don't think kids would be able to see if they had to stand -
ticketek always makes it so hard --- there are probly people trying to get tickets for the zone who cant, too....

I have a 6 year old and a pre-schooler, and they both LOVE standing on their seats in the fever zone.
(Mr 3 in fact thinks Ifill is the greatest player in the universe.)

Generally, i wouldn't worry to much about it. My kids know lots of football songs/they stand on their seats/they drink fanta and donuts. it's win/win/win.

Someone is probably on to it already but would be good to get out in the media how well ticket sales are going and that they become available to the general public on Wednesday.

I think the ticket sales to the All Whites vs Bahrain game got great coverage to the point it created its own momentum - people knew it was going to be a huge occasion and wanted to be part of it.

Would be great if ticket sales to this weekend game could similarly build its own momentum.

Weather service say sunny 21 degrees ...brilliant !!!

whuuuuck i dont know what to think about that. stoked yeah... but i dont want to miss out come Wednesday... if thats what it means. surely they couldnt have sold that many already??

I think PHX#### is something other than PAX possibly (unless a typo) - an internal reference to the event type (phx being short for Phoenix).

First time ever I am thankful to egg-ball for something. They have booked out the only direct flight.

If it's only open to members and there aren't even 15,000 members then i'd say 5299 is a bit more likely

You would expect 99% of members to get a ticket though

the PHX number is only an account number and is on the invoice stub not the ticket.
..
Look for the PAX number in small print on the right hand stub on the ticket

We want 3 News sports headline Wednesday night! This is bigger than midweek news about which rugby players are confident about the season ahead. This is bigger than our team in the Winter Olympics.

We aren't going to get 20k on a Sunday night without the media. Dig it in!

IS PHX on the receipt ticket but this is account number - Wasn't till read other threads seen it was the pAx and found that as small rint on the tickets - was 5,200 as at 4:30

SORRY to those people not yet able to get tickets who weren't sure whether to cream themselves at the possiblilty of such a huge crowd, or sh*t themselves that they may get crappy pun intended) seats.

Just bought my tickets (7.15pm):  nos 5391 and 5392 for me and my six year old daughter.  They offered me aisle 24 which is ideal for us - our season tix are in 26 and its too quiet for both of us there so we nearly always move closer to the Fever.  A rare good experience with ticketing I must say.

actually crashing header fron dura would be so much better..

.PS why did he leave that gorgeous ball from Ifiill in stoppage time for Cacers to blast over the bar????????????????????????????/ a little nodded flick and goal one after 82 games!

Because he's a selfless gentleman.  My favourite Phoenix player I'm thinking.  He knew Caceres wanted to get one vs his old club and we were in the driving seat.

I'll explode with joy when Dura nets one.

any news on the fitness of the glory players? read on the front page that they might be missing a few for this crucial clash. does anyone read the Glory forum? if so, I think you should "report" on here so we can get a rough idea of who will be in the line-up.

One Glory posters view of things. No idea how accurate, or otherwise, the assessment of the injuries is.

"C.Coyne is a definite starter .... Sterj maybe ... Burns maybe, Jelic maybe (but probably not) and Sikora won't be.

J.Coyne-C.Coyne-Todd-Naum
Sterj-Shroj-Mcgarry-Howarth
------Mcbreen---???------

question mark is for Jukic/Harnwell/Jelic"

No, but there is a lot of moaning about the long trip over.

"Glory travel woes increased with Perth's Super 14 team, Western Farce, and fans already having secured the only direct flight to Wellington from Perth ahead of the game. That means Glory will have to catch a connecting flight through either Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne"

Hopefully McBreen will get lost at the airport

Will be fun if there's a fair few Perth fans there. Well... as long as they don't spur on Perth to much.

Be nice to see more than 30 in the "Away Supporters" area.
I always feel kinda bad for them... ... ... kinda.

Actually one of the Perth supporters put a fair amount of time and effort in to looking at a charter - needed a decent number of people to shell out about a $1,000 each - looks like he couldn't get enough on board to make it happen but good on him for giving it a crack.

It does not matter how many supporters make the trip, it depends on the Glory players if they are up enough to beat the Nix?

I have to wait until payday (Wednesday) to get my tickets.

Sucks being poor and having no money and spending money on food and petrol rather than things you'd like, like football games and turtles.

Anyway, please don't sell out by Wednesday TIA.

No doubt the Phoenix are a force this year, from the Melbourne Age

"Opinions are divided as to whether Sydney FC or Melbourne are the team to beat but most A-League coaches view Wellington Phoenix as the dark horse for this year's title.

A poll of the six coaches involved in the upcoming finals series reveals feelings are split as to who are favourites for the title despite Sydney claiming the minor premiership with a 2-0 win over the Victory on Sunday.

But four of the six coaches agreed Wellington could be the surprise packet of the playoffs, despite qualifying for the finals for the first time.

The tag sits well with Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert heading into his side's home semi-final against Perth Glory on Sunday, with the All Whites coach confident his side can make an impact.

"We have gone 17 games undefeated at home since October 2008, lost less games this season than anyone else in the competition and we have a lot going in our favour," Herbert said.

"I think on our day we are as good as anyone.

"The luck of the draw will count and we have a home final.

"We have also been pretty good away and beat the Gold Coast and probably don't fear anyone.

"In Paul Ifill I think we have the best player in the league, no injuries and a confident squad. Why not?"
