The other Gillett... There are two of them. That was the guy that tossed Lia and Brown last year in 'that' game

Yep I know there's 2 of them.  has the Matt refereed a game since the Brown Ward sending off?

Yeah he has.

We have another ref doing their first ever game this weekend, Sarah Ho. She has been an assistant ref for a while in the A-League, and is the first women to ref a game. Great stuff.

She is the assistant for this game, unless Beath has pulled out?

I'm very nervous for this game. I'll cry if heskey scores against us.  I would take a draw then we. Won't be at the bottom of the table, if we win i will be over the moon.

I hope the boys are up for this

We've spoken about having a lot of depth at the Phoenix this year.

Newspaper reports are that Tyler Boyd will replace Husegeyms if he's not fit.  That's absolutely crazy...

I have to agree with you. I think the best option if he is not fit is to bring in Lia and swap Ifill and Brockie.

I like tyler. But hes not the type of striker who will be an impact player. The type of guy who can do a job from the kickoff.

Well disciplined, decent positioning and solid finishing. Not filled with X-factor however.

Waffles is out, most likely replaced by Lia.

Brockie would be lucky to score in a brothel.

I noticed that too.  Fans deserting the team?  Or they all at Toast Martinborough?

But Greenacre, who took the reins in Herbert's absence, felt the Phoenix actually played well in last Sunday's 1-0 loss to Central Coast.

"It's just keep[ing] persevering with the formation and the way we play," he said. "We've done OK when we've gone to Newcastle in recent times [two wins from the last three games at Hunter Stadium] and we'll be looking to do that again. But I thought against Central Coast it was a good team performance, and in all fairness, the players did everything that we asked of them. I think we were probably just missing a little bit of a magic spark on the day but I think the game could have gone either way."

"Little bit of magic spark"? Where can we get this from? Can we get it to the team in time? I think I saw a bottle of it in the local Four Square..
On Phoenix TV, I also heard him saying how they have to get it wide more. Is this some club philosophy or insecurity or something? Seriously, we are little one dimensional.
The Planes are there for the taking, we need to roll them. Don't you blow this! COYN!

Ifill as the striker in the front three would work well. I hope it's not Brockie at the front.

That is what I'm hoping also, he has the ability to hold the ball up and hopefully can put thru good passes to use the speed of Fenton & Brockie to get behind their fullbacks.
